They should be the same.
Both should keep a level of *respect,* how ever they appear
Truth should be fact.
Fact IS truth.
but the fact is:
many times people say a real event, experience, or claim and say it “is the truth”- it is only applicable to them; REAL for them, and not always *applicable* to many.
~Facts are usually unchanging, and have a higher chance of being *applicable* to everyone.
Gravity and it’s laws are facts. They’re true.
Saying the statement: “it’s true that planes can fly. That’s a fact.”
^^is only applicable to that disclaimer’s experience of flight, and their knowledge of flight.
When in reality, toy planes do not fly, and a kid would say that the previous statement or so called fact isn’t true. It’s not entirely true. (It’s not applicable).
The kid’s truth is also true, but still not a fact because though toy planes cannot fly, some toy planes really do actually, and the
real fact version of these truths would be: metal planes that are engineered, can fly, provided they don’t have any malfunctions.
Another fact would be: Some toy planes can fly. Some cannot.
• Facts are applicable. It cannot be disproved.
• Truths can be debated/ argued and not accepted because it’s diversified and not always applicable to everyone, or a lot of people/ variables.
I saw an ufo tonight, could have been something else, but I believe with all my heart that it was an alien and nothing else. You could call this truth. But once we identify what that thing actually was, whatever the answer, it will be a fact.
Interesting question. I like to keep in mind that there are different "kinds" of facts. For example, there are historical facts, or records of events that took place which cannot be disputed and are therefore accepted as truth, and non-changeable truth. Then there are facts based on the limits of our knowledge, which we accept to be true until proven otherwise.
For example, bone fusion surgery. For many decades prior to 1990, it was believed to be a "fact" that bone replacement had to come from your own body or you ran the risk of rejection and infections. This turned out to be untrue, as at first, bovine bone was successful used in human fusions, and later on, cadaver bone. As new discoveries were made, the "facts" changed.
I've no doubt there are tons of "universal truths" out there which we have no clue about yet, as well. There are some scientists who like to think mankind has already stumbled on some universal truths, but personally, I rather doubt that.
Well you sometimes hear people refer to what they call 'my truth' and this is completely understandable as none of us know everything and none of us have only accurate information.
Some of us do a better job than others and sorting fact from fiction but ultimately we all form a view of the world which we consider to be true even though this view is not built entirely from facts.
So truth is probably a perspective and i suppose it is also necessarily subjective, facts are beacons or anchors which help to guide us, though even facts change as new information is revealed.

Absolutely, you can present the same facts truthfully and untruthfully.
Lets say the fact is that a million people won money on their lottery ticket. And 90% of those won less than they paid for the ticket.
The fact would be that a million people won something on their lottery ticket. The truth would be the vast majority of people lost money so the actual winner amount is only 10%.
If you ask a random bunch of people "What is the capital of Australia?", a significant number will confidently answer "Sydney". They're telling the truth (it's not a lie, intended to deceive), but they're just simply mistaken (it's actually Canberra).
That's philosophical question. Truth lies beyond fact. It isn't opposed to it. But it involves principles and ideals. A fact is something beyond dispute, it is evidence that is not in doubt.
Truth is different. Truth may involve sources that are religious, etc. Is it true that every person deserves justice?
It may not be a fact. But it is a truth.
I would argue that truth is made up of facts, so they are different in that sense. Something can be true without having a demonstrable basis in fact. For example; America is a truly systemically racist country, but the concrete facts don’t make that racism apparent.
I like your premise but I'm not sure about your example. You might find this video clip interesting.

Truth, as a term, can have different meanings and can be used for more subjective things. Facts are objective and empirical. Truth can be objective as well, when referring to facts. But things like my feelings are also truths, yet they are subjective.
Fact: something humans believe is true, JESUS
Truth: something that is 100% true, PHOTOSYNTHESIS
so yes there is a difference between truth and fact
no there is evidence that photosynthesis does occur in plants, it is not believed to be true it is true. Yes I already wrote that, that there are people who believe in Jesus. Oh but since there is evidence that jesus was real then he is truth but god is a fact, there is not trace of him

Truth is abstract and may be challenged. It may have aspects that may not have observable points for a human mind.
Fact is circumvenient and does not exist until manufacturally shaped into certain borders. It has it's exact poisition on a timeline.
Absolute Truth: is an overruling Law from which all facts originate and can only be factual because they are from Absolute Truth.
There can be no Facts if there is no Absolute Truth. Facts can not be if Absolute Truth is Not. Until we die in this world snd live eternally we can not fully know Truth.
There are Precepts to be followed. 10 Commandments are the best example of those and if these Truths our exercised Morality is evident. Today, the facts are these are not followed, therefore, we have a debauched and crumbling society.
An Absolute Truth: if you obey then I will bless and if you disobey I will curse you. This Truth involves man’s Choice. Today, we have chosen NOT the 10 Commandments and at the crux of that determination is choice. So-
The fact is man has chosen to disobey. The effect is Curse expressed in loss of innate Right/Wrong or Morality…. the tertiary effect is a decaying and crumbling society.
Continuous Facts from Absolute Truth unknown into infinitude.99999.
Obey and be In Christ Jesus as Savior and Lord and be blessed as Sons/Daughters of God, absolutely. From the precept of obedience access to Absolute Truths beyond our full understanding and all facts is attainable.
Some people think because they wrote a book, it is published, so what they say is fact. Fact it is not. It’s just a book.
That tomato is a fruit, is a fact. That only a fuckwit would try and put it in a fruit salad, is a truth.
Incomplete facts can lead to erroneous assumptions about the truth.
Touché
Well some people like to ignore inconvenient facts and refuse to look at their stances via devils advocate. Their emotions make them believe that owning up to inconvenient facts might weaken their position. In reality when other people discover that other facts were omitted it makes them question the “truth” they are trying to convey.
There is no “your truth” or “my truth”. There is only THE truth.
Yep. The thing is when your position is rationally challenged and you have to rationally defend it forces a you to think much harder.
When challenged liked this then either or both happen: you might seriously re-evaluate all or some of your position and/or you might strengthen all or some existing position. You got more facts now which gets you closer to the truth.
Yes, in a way. Fact is a truth but not necessarily an enduring truth.
Ex: It was a fact that the temperature was 80° this morning, but 20 minutes it was 81°
Truth is an enduring fact set in stone.
*later
A fact can be anything you want if you can make people believe it but a truth is just the truth, there is no changing that
Fact: Scientific. Proven by experiments or research.
Truth: A fact that is also a belief. Not necessarily proven, can also be open to interpretation.
Yes, there is a difference. For example:
Fact: A woman would prefer for me to have a bigger penis
Truth: I have a big penis
yes... and no
maybe
might...
truth is based on opinion. fact is fact
Fact and truth and synonymous.
Truth is subjective. A fact is not.
Facts…. May have limits. The truth… meh
Gravity is a fact and also truth.
Yeah, one you can prove and one has to be proven
