Why is it this way when it time for death?

We all live and die so why I ask we treat inmates better than free world people who work all their lives. Here's what I mean.

I took care of my life for 7 years
She stated a power of attorney to end her life it took 19 damn days with no food or water but when we put an inmate's to death they get a shot and go to sleep
I serous this need to change.
Can you see the outcry If we don't give food and water for 19 days to a inmate's?

I know how you feel. I watched my father waste away & die of starvation. He had cancer of the esophagus & couldn't swallow anything.
