My son is harassing this women to abort her baby?

My son is 22 years old still stays with me. Today a 24 year old woman reached out to me via Facebook. She messaged me videos of my son harassing her to get an abortion. Also my son was texting her trying to bribe her to abort the baby with money and i knew it was my son from the phone number the screenshots had on them. My son told her in the messages he basically was gonna be a dead beat bd she was going to do it alone so just get rid of it etc.

i was in shock. My son didn’t tell me he had a child on the way nor could i believe how bad he was trying to manipulate this girl too abort my grandchild.



i want to be in this child’s life but I’m not sure how to go about it i can’t force my son to help?

You can't "force" your son to do anything, mom, but the court can. Depending on where you live, if you are in the USA and she carries the baby to term and doesn't put it up for adoption and keeps it, your son will have certain financial responsibilities to support the child, even if doesn't want to. The only way he can avoid that would be if the mother signs off on it and he agrees to no contact.

I don't know what the laws are in different countries, but in the USA, he's financially responsible unless a court rules otherwise. GETTING that money is a different story, so good luck. He could be a deadbeat dad and go to jail, which doesn't really help.

Think of it this way as an explanation. If one has ever dealt with Abortion clients immediately 2 years, 5 years, 10years post then one would here something like this: Worse decision of my life. It never goes away... instead of a birth date I have a death date every year. And no chance to see what child could have been... even if adopted.

As for the son, if he's going to be a dead beat then you need to step up and take his place as her support.
