People who advocate banning or regulating guns are the same people I guarantee you that would have no problem if the same people doing gun violence instead were committing violence with big muscles. I will only support gun bans or regulations if it would apply to law enforcement, secret service, and the mitary. If I can't own an assault rifle why should non civilians be allowed? If I can't own even a pistol why should non civilians be allowed? I'll have no issue banning a guns for civilians if we can get around banning men having muscles and fat to so they do go around intimidating smaller guys or raping women.

Seems you don't understand how law and regulations work.

A legal gun ban would extend over the persons entire period. So if they were a cop, military, or services, then they would be given a desk job for the duration of the ban.

They would also be prosecuted if caught with a weapon during that period.

Regulation and laws in the USA are shit poor around guns and weapons. Hence the better control of guns and ammo is necessary. Too many murican shitheads are still living in the 1600's but are able to buy full automatic weapons.

I am genuinely concerned about your health. Banning weapons isn’t a problem with me, but you are suggesting the military not have guns. Am I getting this right? What does muscles have to do with weapons? And wait…. banning muscles?

If you don't have a right to defend yourself, then someone else gets to make that decision for you about your life. When people get to decide if you live or die without your consent, then you are not free. Someone else owns you... You are a slave. Everyone should have guns. Everyone should train a minimum number of hours a month. That would be a good use of tax dollars. If there was a rifle in every home, with skilled people that trained regularly to use it as part of civil defense, how many people houses would criminals want to break into? If you enter, you know there's some well trained armed person inside waiting for you. It's not a maybe thing at that point... Either you are ready to die today to look through their underwear draw or it's not worth the risk...

Dosen't the left want to increase accountability for all police in every regard? Even down right dismantling police. That's a bit much for me but if we need to build from the ground up not the worst place to start.

Looking at our current view on guns it's like a snake eating it's own tail. Criminals have guns so should the police. Police have guns so Criminals get bigger guns. It becomes a bigger and bigger arms race. The state is ultimately the greater power and its duties should be "de escalation."
