Should people with extremist view points who are in the military or law enforcement be doxxed?

Okay the other day I was in a Facebook group where someone had posted something saying that the Jews had deserved the Holocaust happening to them. Now I checked on the guy’s profile and he was ex Army. Now had he been currently serving I would feel a moral dilemma. Now first off I am a huge free speech supporter and think that he should have the right to say what he said no matter how depraved it was. My issue being was that if he was still active duty in the Army would he have issues taking orders from a Jewish officer or a higher ranking enlisted Jewish soldier. Or if let’s say when deployed he was in an area with a Jewish population. Would he use his weapons and training to commit harm against Jewish civilians or violate their human rights. I feel the same way about maybe a cop who was a white supremacist and hates Jewish and black people because would that cop intentionally harass and wrongfully arrest and detain a Jewish or black person or even brutalize and harm them.

Additionally, you're making assumptions on what someone "might" do, rather than what they DID. In the US, we're innocent until "proven" guilty. Just because someone in the military, or former military, or a cop, has personal viewpoints, doesn't make them guilty of what you're claiming.

Where did you get the idea that people who hold those views are somehow wrong and should be punished before they actually do something? Just because they hold counter viewpoints to YOU, doesn't make them wrong.

Besides, what's a white supremacist? What's the definition? And what makes someone who has those opinions anymore wrong than you?

You're taking an extreme leftist ideology and attempting to apply that in judgement against someone who has differing opinions before they've actually done anything. This is the problem with leftists that MANY in the US cannot stand. You're the type of person to claim free speech for every one... right up to the point someone has a different perspective. Then they're railed against by people like you for holding those opinions! Finally, you'll stand there and wonder why those other opinioned individuals are against you! The first words out of your mouth will be - "What did I do wrong?"

I never said that. Just because someone has a different opinion doesn't mean you become their judge, jury, and hangman! Doxxing someone because of their different views, makes you the bully in that situation. By doing that, you're purposely attempting to cause them, at a minimum irritation and at worst possible death! Where do you get the idea that you're somehow allowed to do that?

Maybe? It's hard to know if someone is just repeating what they heard - a victim of misinformation - or if they are a zealot trying to get others to be extremists. Case by case, I think..

They should be removed from their position. Anyone with hateful or racist beliefs should not have a weapon and be in a position of authority over others, whether that be civilian law enforcement or holding rank over other military personnel. They aren’t fit for those roles.
