I found Alan Watts' lectures on YouTube at at time when I was at my lowest. I honestly don't know where I'd be right now if I hadn't come across his inspirationally powerful talks. Look him up for yourself if you don't already know him. These days people are taking the shit they hear in songs, from politicians, and movies that really do nothing to benefit them and only keep turning out these brainwashed zombies that take the wrong thing and values to heart. Like Alan Watts says "don't take things seriously that are meant to be play" (paraphrasing). He tells us that we are all one in the same and his speeches could benefit anyone who is willing to listen, it's much better advise than Megan the stallion or Kanye.
Why don't we have more people like Alan Watts in this world?
I don't know him, but I liked the quote. I guess it's because people are following the wrong advice. Also, they believe in things they shouldn't. They prefer to follow whoever is popular or famous instead of thinking for themselves or listening to someone who actually has something to say.
