From TV it seems that there is less racism in places like the UK, France, and other Western Countries than there is in the US. Is this accurate? Is the US really more racist?
pretty much... it is mostly when speaking with other Americans that when casually speaking about anything, race is always going to be a factor and come up, whether there's intention or not of being racist it usually goes like that
"this -any race- was like" a person is never just a person, a man or a woman... even when the race or nationality, ethnic background matters for nothing, it is said... lol
I'm used to it yes... but I always find it weird, lol

It depends on how you define racism.
Using the standard definition, "yes".
But that is only because race was invented here. If you define racism as just everyday prejudice, then no. Because there are places where dominant groups outright murder/kill folks of different ethnic groupings.
But too many folks at GaG don't know the difference. Or politicize the difference.
Racism is almost non-existent in the USA. If you search far and wide, out of thousands of people, you may a couple racist but there are far to few to be a problem. That is not the same as people being aware that on average, there are differences in the races such as average skin tone and average intelligence. However, people are judged on their character, intelligence, education, behavior, and who they are. They are not judged on their race.

At least racism seems to have an overt effect most of the time there. Every situation has a potential racial factor in it (e. g. black person arrested by white cops). And I am always dumbfounded how openly some Americans express their antisemitism or even have a Nazi flag.
No. Go to places like south Africa or Zimbabwe where people are under attack just for the color of their skin and the government takes the property. Or how about Rwanda and the Congo. These places used to be thriving paradises.
https://youtu.be/gMYZN0cEFaIProbably. I'm always torn between thinking the US is either the most or least racist country. My suspicion is if all of the black people in the US were abruptly teleported to any other country, with all their land and assets, they would be treated worse than they are here. But it's also true that that's a bar that's real low to the ground.
It is racist. The government makes everything about race. Recently democrats want to give reparations for the ancestors of slaves. They will take money from people who have never owned slaves to give to people who have never been slaves. Hiring is usually dependent on a person's race which is the very definition of racism. Diversity is valued more than competence.
After the Confederate Secret Service shot Abraham Lincoln (thus winning the Civil War), we had to find a loophole to keep slavery alive. Enter racism. So, is it really racism if it was purposefully constructed? Or was it just a war game? You decide.
I don't know. It certainly seems like it but this is difficult to answer. I'm not sure if we can find per Capita hate crimes as a possible indicator. A lot of the western countries don't have as diverse of a population as the US so that has to play a role.
Unfortunately I assume yes, it sure seems like it anyways….. and just wait until white Americans become the minority…the population is on that trajectory
I wouldn't say (more racist) but more diverse. The bigger diversity is, the more you hear about (these people and that people).
The whole construct of racism is defined I personal preferences. There’s no greater or lesser racist entity. That’s foolishness….
All countries are racist. Worst are the islamic countries
Lmao, of course not. We wouldn’t have a pandemic of fake hate crimes if the US was racist. The demand for racism far exceeds the supply
It certainly seems to be.
We are one of many, YES. It exists.
Africa is.
