Did Trump claim to be a clairvoyant so he can plead insanity?

Regardless of your political persuasion I'm sure we can all agree that Trump gave world's best Christmas speech this year. None of this goodwill and peace to all men nonsense, just a good old rant.

Now he has come under some criticism, particularly around claiming he's a clairvoyant. But I think there's more to his speech than just trying to outdo the Grinch.

Trump is going to get arrested soon and dragged before the courts. He needs a get-out plan, and what better than a plea of insanity?

I reckon his speech was carefully written so his lawyers can use it in his defence. Do you agree?

Not a US citizen or in the US. Haven't seen the rant either. Trump seems to be inclined to hyperbole so from the outside I would think that is was just more of that. It is not uncommon for people to claim the ability to foresee the future with 20-20 hindsight so I would find it hard to see how that could be parlayed into insanity.
