Was Andrew Tate being arrested in Romania a publicity move?

So to be real I didn't really know who Andrew Tate was literally until I started seeing a bunch of shorts with him early this year, and then read about him on Wikipedia, and then watched his heated interview with Piers Morgan. I do agree with a few things Tate has said here and there, but overall I can't say I'm a fan.

Apparently yesterday the Romanian police raided his mansion or whatever and arrested him and his brother for sex trafficking. Which I think the cops did once before but let him go. Not sure if he's really guilty or not, but do you think Romania is only doing this as a publicity move to try to have a good image? They've had sex trafficking as a problem for decades and have not cared to such a degree as to put time and effort into raiding other pimp's or crime lords' residencies, but because Tate is well-known - even if for the wrong reasons - and has money, they decide they're going to go after him if it can give them good press and make them look like they're actually doing their job about a years-old problem.

You're confused.

He's wanted for suspected trafficking, rape, and other charges. That is not something you can get casually arrested for, nor is it the sort of shit any country wants to have publicity for.

If anything, he's probably another Epstein or R Kelly. However, the big caveat is that everything is only speculation at this point.

But from his life story he's got a lot more wealth than his shitty career should allow for. So I suspect there is a lot more in those "other charges," and the trafficking and rape charges are only to pin him down.

- Except the Romanian mafia IN Romania has been doing these things forever, and the cops there probably haven't done a bust like this before, and if so, probably very rarely.

Easier for them to pick one guy doing all that dirt than to actually be real men and handle their own national crooks.

Tate started getting in trouble shortly after he started openly criticizing the deep state. The Romanian government is close to Western globalist elites. It’s possible the elites are taking a page from the same playbook they used against Julian Assange.

Lived in Romania and when I was there the entire country was basically corrupt. You could get out of anything by giving money. The cops accept bribes and they let a lot of things slide. I lived in a area that had prostitutes working the streets and cops would drive by without to care at all. I think they probably arrested him for money. The country is really money hungry and they blatantly rip off tourists all the time.

Very possible but they may suspect of wrong doing. He makes his money on being controversial so maybe he arranged it.

I just think it's odd. Romania has had sex trafficking for years, and very rarely have they pulled off raids like these with any of their own crime bosses who traffic women. But because Tate is famous and has money, Romanian authorities want to look competent about dealing with him. But what about when you're own crooks have been doing this for a long time too? It just makes them look weak and like they're trying to get some kind of good press just for getting Tate and his brother.

so I think it is ridiculous to see this as a PR or marketing move
