The term woke is cringy?

Like honestly every time I here someone comment that’s woke or you’re woke I think to myself do you have anything actually constructive to say? It’s become a buzz word that is so overused to the point it’s lost all meaning I’d say.

I swear all you have to do is simply disagree with someone and they will call you woke. Like dude is woke basically just you’re go to insult for anything you don’t like?

Its become an honest joke to me because all it signals now is that the person doesn’t have anything actually constructive to say. It’s the “well you suck!” Reply. No thought or substance at all.

Well not exactly, it's more when you are worried about silly stuff that isn't your issue isn't your fight. Like it's woke to think trans women are literally women and a some "women" who looks like a guy in a dress has the right to use the women's restroom. Or game developers who make some frumpy, trailerpark looking female character cause "they didn't want to be part of the male patriarchy that sexualizes the female body", which leads to the slogan "get woke, go broke".

I use to be on top of all the woke shit just so I could use that shit as jokes.

The most commo. Way I know to find a woke dumbass is the people who get offended when you call what looks like a man or like a woman, he or she then the shout out "did you just assume their/my gender?"

That was the point. It is a psychological operation against The Great Awakening. There have been multiple Great Awakenings throughout history. Those who would keep you oppressed want to taint the language surrounding it so that you are confused and distracted by the "Woke" movement. It's the same thing they do with Q. They run a parallel narrative called QANON that they disparage in the main outlets of communication. If you have a negative emotional response to it, then you are less likely to learn what is and has been happening around you for your entire life. They want you controlled, so they pervert language to confuse you.

It’s definitely cringy and extremely overused, especially in social media. As far as I’m concerned, it’s a red flag if someone says it. It’s a word (among others) used by dimwits.

Right wingers and conservatives use the term "woke" as if it's a bad thing. In reality, it means that you're someone who is aware of injustice, or unfair policies that exist and need to be addressed and changed. What's wrong with that?

What's REALLY funny, in a very sad way, and I DO mean sad, is when conservatives called scientists woke. Anyone who understands what scientists are about, and I mean real scientists, know that they live for the data, the testing, what can be proven or at the very "worst" hoped for based on all available information. Real scientists today don't give a shit about your or anyone else's feelings or the current mood - they follow the data, like it or not.

Cringy? No. Overused? Maybe. This is one reason why I at least try not to use it so very often.

But then again, the same can also be said of racist, sexist, transphobe, homophobe, fascist, Q-Anon, incel, alt-right, white supremacist, white nationalist, insurrectionist, conspiracy theorist... and I'm actually honestly surprised I wasn't able to think of more buzzwords thrown around by the left.

If you think the word "woke" is overused, fine. In some ways, I might even agree. We could have a conversation about it. But just know that with what I said above, the same could also be said of the left, liberals, progressives, whatever we're calling them today.

Not really, I use the term woke. No, its not an insult for anything I don't like. Its a term for a spesific type who often are major hypocrites. Its partly because of the woke crowd tv channels and movie companies have diversity quotas. The woke crowd is when those who absolutely wanted color blind casting, because they belived they would get mor black actors if the actors were soley judged by their skill and not what they look like. When that did not work out for them and the results decreased the amount of black actors they quickly turned around and called their own invention racist and gave us diversity quotas instead.

The woke crowd are the type of people who will boycott and act like its racist if a non-white character is replaced by a white actress, but will go neh, no problem when white people are replaced.

When someone panders to this crowd, that makes their product woke.
