As a white American male what’s it like living in Ireland? Are Americans welcome? Is it doable to move? Is it culturally toxically leftist/woke?

I heard the weather is fantastic, there’s almost never any hot or cold temperature extremes. Things range between 38-72’ farenheit

Also I’d much prefer living in the countryside than a city like Dublin. Cuz if I ever wanted to visit the city, its only a short drive away anyway.

I’ve heard people are friendly. It’s apparently about as affordable as the USA, and I can hold dual citizenship. Lots of places to explore as well. But on the downside I do like driving and the gas is supposedly more expensive. But on the upside electric cars are just around the corner anyway.

And I get that Ireland is liberal and has abortion and same sex marriage and stuff but so long as nobody there is constantly screaming about Black Lives Matter and ranting about white people being systemically racist and evil, I’m all good.

I am conservative politically but I do have tolerance for people with socially liberal views it just annoys me when people go super off the cliff.

And I heard that people like to just kick back and chill out and talk and stuff and employers are generally more generous with work hours and vacation time than in America

Also irish women are fun to talk to. From my experience they aren’t all toxicly narcisist like American women tend to be.

But I did hear they tend to be promiscuous. And if that’s the case still no big deal cuz Ireland’s a nice country to live in and I could still just learn Polish or something and find a housewife type girl to marry from there

Also I am an irish descendent catholic American. If I spend some money on ancestry. com I could probably find my great Grandfather’s immigration records. And if I can prove that, apparently I earn legal residency.

Only downside though is I’ve heard Ireland has high income taxes on higher income earners so I don't know if I’d fall in that bubble with a 80k-100k salary

I’ve heard the standard flat tax for everybody is 20%, then higher for others
