Why do hospitals and doctors lobby in US?

I am wondering what they are lobbying for. What are their interests?

Money and influencing legislation, obviously.

The USA is the only country in the world which does not have a healthcare system. It only has healthcare businesses. Like all businesses, they exist only to make a profit.

Now, when have you ever got sick and thought "Should I see the 99 cent doctor? The 50 bucks doctor, or should I just go all out?"

This is one of many reasons why the USA is fucked, and going to be the shortest lived empire in the world.

doctors as any other jobs have interest in higher wages. and obviously hospitals need to be financially profitable like every other service provider.

Can you please elaborate? What are the profit-hospitals specifically lobbying for? And is that the only thing doctors are lobbying for? What about when ACA was about to be implemented? What was there interest in lobbying?

i'm neither a doctor, nor am i a hospital owner xD so i can only assume. doctors will fight for better working conditions and better wages. you probably know how shitty jobs in the medical industry are specially considering working times and overly exhausting shift systems. hospitals are service providers like any other service provider. so they'll lobby like any other service provider.
