If you believe the world is going to end in 10 years because of climate change, why are you supporting a war against it in China and India shutting down their coal plants?

if the United States got rid of all its carbon emissions, and Indian China did not hear, fossil fuel burning would still affect us and the rest of the world. If you believe in climate change hysteria, why are you not advocating for war?

It was never "the world was ending in 10 years." It was how passively we can avoid the end of the world from the first domino dropping into the next and next. That also involves 1,000,000,000 refugees. That is going happen before the end of our modern world. That's like the next domino. It's grim dark after that. I would assume you would like to avoid such a humanitarian disaster in your lifetime.

At this point we actively have to Carbon capture but that's basically putting toothpaste back into the tube. As our standard of science is very difficult and inefficient. It's putting all those dinosaurs millions of year ago we burn in coal back into the earth in a human life.

We are getting their. That fusion energy breakthrough is a big deal creating more enery then it takes to make. Solor, thermal, wind, hydro powers into fusion will overcome carbon emissions and be captured but how much human suffering will happen getting there when we actively neglected a golden opportunity to avoid human suffering altogether?

Only historians will judge us for our actions today.

If you’re serious about being energy, we all know that we cannot be energy independent, with solar or wind. The only green energy that is actually more efficient than fossil fuels is nuclear energy. Why aren’t you supporting nuclear energy? Or if you do why don’t most Democrats support nuclear energy.

No. Its not going to end. Climate change is bad, but not "end of the world" bad. Low lying areas will get flooded, there will be large scale disruption, it might trigger wars etc.

Not saying we should ignore it - just that there is a very big range between "bad" and "end of the world.

USA, China and India together are responsible for 50% of world CO2 emission. My country is responsible for less than 1%. Going ecological for my country and reducing worldwide CO2 emission for 0,4 or 0,5% won;t change the fate of the planet.

There is always climate change between ice ages. Very cold to very hot back to very cold. Natural cycle. Only difference this time is man has accelerated the process heading to the very hot period. In 12-14 thousands years folks left will be bitching how cold it is.
