Do you believe that pretty privilege exists? if so why or why not?

I personally believe it does because I have been treated so different now that I’ve lost weight. The treatment from even strangers or servers has even changed and they are much more friendly. It’s annoying that society is this way. Some people I speak to argue that it doesn’t exist but usually it’s the ones with pretty privilege that don’t see it. Let me know your thoughts

pretty privilege has always existed since the dawn time through history and the animal kingdom

it plays a much bigger factor than racial privilege or gender privilege because a pretty person would always get favorable treatment regardless of race or gender

there's nothing inherently wrong with treating pretty people with preferential treatment however the converse also exists where ugly people get treated like shit and hunted down like monsters

stories often depict heroes as hot/pretty/handsome while villains and monsters are ugly/hideous/repulsive

Yes, but it's not everything gold that shines. Often is this good treatment not free and it turns suddenly in hostility and hatred, despite you wanted just to be let alone.
