Do you think an entire nation can hide a secret?

We know that governments hide secrets from the people all the time, and education systems can hide or omit history from a culture. But I mean as a nation entirely. Do you think the people of a nation/culture collectively can hide secrets from the rest of the world about something in their history or culture?

The governments do not only hide secrets but manipulate the available information as well. Well, most of it is the kind which can cause panic in the public. So I guess it is good of them to do that.

It is really difficult to get an authentic book today. Everything is somewhat regulated in the official publication domain.

India won the 1962 war in Indian books. Pakistan won the same war in Pakistani books. Governments...🤷

Pearl harbour is not there in Japanese books. But it is there in other books. I heard this one somewhere.

A nation can hide a secret but only when they don't know it. Otherwise someone spills the beans always. And information always get carried from one generation to another. So... maybe not that much, I guess.

Not at all. I'm sure both of us could come up with a few things about the US, we'd prefer were kept secret from the rest of the world. And I'm sure that plenty of other countries would as well. But we can't, because to paraphrase Luke, all things hidden will be revealed, because most people can't keep secrets.

Eradicating slavery was a political move by Lincoln to help him and the Republican party look good.

The reason the GOP. Was created was abolition of slavery, though that's not something many democrats will allow people to learn. It would be too off brand if too many people found out that Jim Crow was a Democrat or that Democrats founded the KKK in response to Republicans taking away their slaves. Lincoln had a lot of flaws, don't get me wrong, but the party itself started for the right reasons.

A lot of people do know those things now in the 21st century. Myself included. But the reason they still aren't going to accept Republican-ism is because the history doesn't do them justice in today's work. The Republican party is still largely racist. It was neo-cons who marched in Charlottesville chanting "Jews will not replace us." Neo-cons who stormed the capital. And most Republican states are poor and don't care about their own poor white people any more than they do poor black people.

The closer you got to the capital the more likely the person standing there was a government or Democrat plant. The vast majority of the ACTUALLY peaceful protest J6 were just standing there, and footage exists to support that. Government instigators like Ray Epps and Antifa trained guerrillas did more danage than mass media is willing to allow to be publicly known. think we've exhausted that topic in the two years since it stopped being current events. A small number of people or groups chanting but not actually doing anything to or against jews is peanuts compared to the tens of thousands of people burning looting and murdering their away across the nation so Cullors could terrify and extort businesses and governments and people who could least afford to spend the money to fund her extravagant lifestyle, nepotism, and mansions. The huge blue states with huge dense populations are always going to send more money to their own constituents in a representative democracy than less populated red states.
