Is there a degree of racial bias present in us? How can we fail to recognize patterns and behavioral differences among various racial groups? How do you expect us to overlook discrepancies in educational achievements among different races? And why do we sometimes become shamed when we observe variations in levels of reservedness or outspokenness among various racial communities?
Can I be candid? I find myself developing prejudiced attitudes towards Black Americans. How is it that a racial group constituting 13% of the population accounts for a significant portion of the country's murders while simultaneously presenting themselves as victims? There seem to be statistics indicating that, on the whole, Black Americans exhibit higher levels of violence compared to other races, and this is often overlooked. Furthermore, Black culture in America, particularly portrayed in rap music, appears to glorify greed, lust, drugs, and gang violence. It seems that there are relatively few Black professionals who are making prominent contributions to American society compared to other racial groups. They appear to have lower levels of education and higher incarceration rates. It is challenging for me to deny noticing these trends. Interestingly, Black individuals in other countries do not seem to exhibit these patterns to the same extent, making it appear exclusive to America. To be honest, I'm growing weary of what I perceive as perpetuated Black victimhood. I believe that if Black Americans want to be seen in a more positive light, they should collectively strive to engage in more positive actions.
