Our economy and welfare are suffering from older people who worked labor jobs and can’t support themselves.
I’m not for them starving or homeless, but I hate when they vote idiots like Trump in because they’re afraid of competing for the bottom rung of society with immigrants (who actually work), I get testy.
We have practically free learning…going to waste. Every poor person can put the time in to learn a new trade. But they are LAZY.

What is the point of hating someone. That be my issue... it's wasted energy.
You can generalize this to people don't want to change... emotionally, culturally, or learn new skills. I know older people that are doing so (depends how you define old)... and I've some whom are stuck, out on the street or just stuck. It's hard after 20 and even harder after 50.
I've been learning, but damn if I had to get a job and compete, it be hard.
I just wonder if a lot of people would want to learn if they had the right support in place.
I see lots of older people working in grocery stores and check out lines... because they have to... by bad choices, mistakes, misfortune (loss of spouses or medical issues in family) or the endless burden of govt confiscating what they earn. don't even talk about the mid life people whom are now caring for kids and sick parents and are run out dry and feel hopeless. a lot of america, is not doing well.
And that... inspires some to vote for Trump... or anyone else, eventhough both sides been ripping them off for decades.
You have to look at it a little bit deeper they are also just followers Trump comes out with his big mouth and starts telling everybody how it is and these people want to do and want to be the same way as a matter of fact they probably are the same way but nobody listens to them most of them are ignorant most followers and you can't tell them any different because you're right they are who they are they are stuck right where they're at and they think that that is the real life with all they would have to do is educate themselves and just might see the world from a different place but they are stuck they've been there forever and they're not going to change they think when Trump speaks that's how you speak to people they think and call that power when it's complete opposite of power

I have to say…we can all learn to be good/bad or whatever…
many in the US unfortunately have fallen into making poor life decisions…because family unity is destroyed.
having a low paying job can survive in the US.

Nah, I think that's a normal reaction.
It's frustrating when people complain and complain but do nothing to improve their situation. It's hard as fuck to do, sure, but it's worthwhile.

So it is okay for somebody who has worked all thier life and all of a sudden gets displaced in the workforce through no fault of their own and you expect them to go back to school at 50 years old to learn how to write code? At the same time put illegal aliens up in 5 star hotels? Really?
I started a second career at 40. Nobody wanted to hire a 40 year old person for an entry level position. The dept of labor keeps statistics and only 1 in 10 people over the age of 40 ever successfully trains for a new career and actually gets a job in that field.
I would say it is more frustrating, particularly when it relates to mental health/learning disability, people just seem not to want to learn. Im more frustrated if it is people under 40, because they like to patent themselves as the equality generation.
Some people are literally incapable of learning. Not their fault.
No one should be hating anyone, but exasperation is understandable.
That's a myth. A lot of white collar jobs have disappeared, being done by automation. Gone are all those office jobs, typing pools, administration etc.

Not bigoted, but it's pretty obvious that you aren't connecting with/understanding the majority of who voted for Trump and what their reasons were.
Instead of kicking down, why not blame corporations which don't pay a wage you can live on and the politicians who allow exploitation to happen.
