Due to an increase in teacher shortages/ teachers quitting their jobs due to burnout, what are some ways to prevent this?

As someone who's mom is a teacher, have family friends who have did/are currently still teaching, and have friends that did teaching for a year, I've have heard some horror stories of children being extremely disrespectful (i. e., I heard them say teachers will spit at the teachers, kick and scream at the teachers, etc), and the parents refuse to do anything about the bad behavior. And the parents most of them don't care about their child's education but just want them out of the house and out of their hair (unfortunately this is true cause I've witness parents saying this multiple times). Now teachers are done with the abuse from both students and parents, and not only quitting from burnout but quitting cause it's not worth it anymore. So what do you think needs to done? So far anyone can be a teacher and schools are now cutting school time from not only kids attending schools 3-4 hours a day but now considering school only opening 4 days a week (Tuesday through Friday).
