Unfortunately, it is and it isn’t. It’s being used as a front to distract and justify shitty pay. Why should Republicans reach across the aisle when their majority racial demographic share is shrinking while others swell on their underpaid dollar? With Affirmative Action, they’re completely justified in firing back at it. Democrats keep pushing it, but the reality is they are every bit as racist as Republicans. I argue everyone is. So it means nothing. But why leave racist/sexist prejudice legislation in place because of it?

The entire American continents (NA and SA) were diverse since the discovery and colonisation. If "diversity" is the problem, there would have never been a succesfull country on these continents.

In term of the USA its falling behind, becausd the richest 10% are getting richer and richer, while the other 90% are getting poorer and poorer. Poverty leads to all sorts of problems, like cimes, drug abuse, violence, debt, homelessness, ...

This is not only a problem in the US, EU has similiar problems, same as Japan and probably South Korea as well.

Also those countries failed to innovate, now China is the number one in many key technologies. Germany for example was number one in solar power in the 80s and 90s, but as politicians blindly focusing on fossil fuels the renewable energy economy slowly was taken over by China, same with electric cars, computers, smartphones, tvs, ...
