Why can't they go there and take over California? Which is there ancestral homeland
495 opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. There are all kinds of Mexicans that came to the USA legally and bought land and houses. They worked their way towards getting their citizenship. They married spouses, started families and businesses and live like any other American. Eventually they and their families earned voting power and influenced the politics in their regions. So the answer is obviously they can so long as they do it legally. There is a legal path to do that for all people.
The Jews that settled in modern day Israel did just that. They bought land from land owners in the region that were under the rule of the Ottoman Empire, then from land owners under the British Empire. They build up a large community and they lobbied the British government participating in their political system. Via financial influence and political prestige from the Rothschild family they were able to garner a more favorable deal when Britain walked away from their colonial lands in the Middle East after WWII and split up what they relinquished between the Jews and the Muslims under the United Nations Partition Plan for Palestine in 1947.

In contrast to the British Empire, I can tell you that America isn't going to walk away from the states... I can tell you that no state will leave the union without winning a civil war, and that there is no army in the world that can win a civil war against the USA military and it's people, especially the Mexicans. People don't grasp how powerful the US military truly is... That said, there is nothing that prevents Mexicans from legally migrating to America and buying land and starting communities within the USA. They can do that so long as they immigrate legally. They can have political representation and become a substantial power block in parts of America just like any other group of people.
Asker+1 yThey haven't all bought land though, they have taken it abd are still doing it until this day.

I can also tell you that California wasn't the historic home of Mexicans. There were about 8,000 people in California when it was purchased by the USA. Those people stayed in California and became part of the USA. There are some Native American tribes that temporarily lived in certain western territories during the trail of tears as they were displaced and forced westward and ethnically cleansed along the way. Very small portions of them ended up in Mexico being that many of them were killed in conflict and from disease. That said, the Spanish colonizers of the region already left the Americas and made their deal to give up the land in California to the USA and the land in Mexico to the Mexicans. You already had your peace treaty and colonizer moment.
Asker+1 yWhat a load of crap, there have been thousands of archeological sites found. And there would have been a lot more than 8000 had they not been wiped out by the Europeans at that stage. Learn your history

The Jews bought all kinds of land throughout modern day Israel and Lebanon prior to the United Nations Partition Plan for Palestine in 1947 both under the Ottoman Empire and under the British Empire. There was no Palestinian Empire. They were ethnic group under the rule of larger empires. Palestine was a region under the control of super powers of another era.
The Palestinian's argument is like saying Detroit is their own country and that White people that move in and buy the land in the city for next to nothing and redevelop it are stealing the land from the Blacks because they didn't pay the Blacks for the land. It's not the Blacks land to begin with. They may make up 77.9% of the Detroit population, but the land doesn't belong to them. It belongs to whoever has legal title over the land. Detroit is within the territory of the United States, within the state of Michigan and there are many private land owners that own the land and buildings that sit on that territory. If people sell their land, and White people buy it up and turn it into a new set of condos or a Dunkin' Donuts, they don't owe Black people shit.
Asker+1 yHave you spoken to any pallestinian people? Let me guess no. The Israeli soldiers came and took over towns , there are plenty of stories of that happening.
Asker+1 yIs that it? Throwing rocks against soldiers who have most likely done 100 times worse. Plenty of villages have been bombed by Isreal and homes been taken over there have been Plenty accounts of it

I grew up in South Florida which is about the same size as Israel geographically. Specifically I grew up in Boca Raton which is nicknamed "Little Jerusalem". Boca has a high concentration of both Jews and Muslims when compared to most places in the USA. 2/3 of the Jews that live in Boca have traveled to Israel often through the Birthright Israel education program. You often run into Israelis that are studying at Florida Atlantic University or doing business in Boca Raton when you live there. There are Muslims from all over the Middle East in Boca Raton. Growing up I had Muslim friends from just about every Muslim nation and tons of Jewish friends as well. I even stood up for a few Muslims when they got knocked the fuck out by groups of Blacks and stomped into a pool of blood when they were getting jumped... Boca has all sorts of people, even Islamic extremists like the Al-Qaeda that plague the Islamic Center of Boca Raton... I've heard all the arguments.

Your problem seems to be that you don't respect the rule of law. You don't understand that when people carry out crimes within a civilization that there is accountability and criminal liability for your actions. That goes for Palestinians within Israeli territory, Mexicans in American territory, Whites in Saudi Arabia, Black in China, or where ever. When you are in someone else's home, you have to play by their rules.
Asker+1 yAnd what about the Israelis who have killed innocent civilians. Why aren't they accountable.
- +1 y
Innocent people should never be targeted intentionally. Military operations should always take civilian population into consideration before acting. At times though, civilians get caught up in the mix. It's war. War is never clean... Sometimes, innocent people die when they are around not so innocent people. Don't act like every Palestinian is innocent... For example, here's your boys flying the Islamic Emirate flag otherwise known as the Taliban flag in my home town... You don't think people notice who you run with?

The Antifaschistische were the paramilitary wing (shock troops) of the communist party in Germany. They held rank in the Nazi party during the war. After the war, many SS were recruited by the Stasi in East Berlin. They escaped punishment for being Nazis. They spied on, tortured, and executed people behind the Antifaschistischer Schutzwall (Berlin Wall). Today, they continue to commit acts of terrorism in cities all over the world... Yet there they are among the Palastinians shouting communist chants. Most of that group are wolves in sheep's clothing. There might be a couple of innocent sheep in the mix, but they aren't fooling anyone.
Asker+1 yHahaha, you're brainwashed

You can't challenge the facts, so all you can do is resort to smear attacks. You have a weak mind. The funny thing is the Kingdom of Hejaz was completely in modern day Saudi Arabia. It had nothing to do with the territory of the Kingdom of Israel. During the Arab revolt Muslims fought the Ottoman Empire in hopes of forming a new kingdom that would encompass modern day Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Palestine, and Syria but the British put an end to their dreams. It's as simple as that. In reality the Palestinians should be trying to acquire their real homeland on the coast of the Red Sea, rather than fighting the Jews, but there is no support in the Arab world to ever give the Kingdom of Hejaz their land back. They are a conquered people that have been displaced. In the modern world they are camped out in Israel, but that's not were they lived historically...
- +1 y
The Saudi conquest of Hejaz during the second Saudi-Hashemite War brought an end to the Sharifian Caliphate (Hejaz/Palestinians)... So in exile they end up in parts of Israel trying to steal land there while claiming to be the victim... At first they lived in peace with the Jews there, but they were under the thumb of the Ottoman so they didn't have the power to act against the empire. Then they were under the thumb of the British and still didn't have the power. Then they were release and thought they got a raw deal from the British so they started wars with the Jews which they lost. That lead to loss of territory over time. It sucks for them, but really they should take that up with Saudi Arabia not with the Jews. The House of Saud just pays them to go away though and fight in Israel so that they aren't a problem for the Kingdom.

and their Royal family who lives in modern day Jordan today will not let them relocate within their borders... They are so adamant about keeping a foothold in Israel, that Jordan has threaten to declare war on Israel if the Palestinians are displaced permanently from Gaza or the West Bank... There are places they should be able to live in peace within the region, but there is no will in the Muslim world to give them that peace. They want the Palestinians constantly fighting. They want division among the people. It's a policy of divide and conquer and the Palestinians are the meat puppets that get their strings pulled.

The Ottomans (Turks) oppressed the Arabs in the region. The Arabs made a deal with with the British Empire to fight the Central Powers (Ottoman). Hejaz (Palestinians) fought in the war but got a raw deal under the British when all the chips fell. Palestine was always meant to be excluded from the area of Arab rule even if the deal was honored as the British originally outlined it. The area was split into British protectorates. Jews that were in the area of Palestine had acquired land legally under the Ottoman and continued to acquire much more land legally under the British who they were influencing back in Europe. The Arabs didn't like that. Then the Arabs revolted against the British like they did with the Ottoman taking a stand against Zionism. Eventually deals were made that Favored the Jews and were less fortunate for the Arabs specifically in Palestine, but the Arabs got Jordan, Iraq, the Arabian Peninsula, etc. so they should stop bitching. The British made the split as they saw fit under the United Nations Partition Plan for Palestine in 1947. They were the rulers of the territory at the time. Israel declared independence. The Arabs attacked them and lost which lead to ceding territory for peace. The Arabs attacked Israel again and lost more territory. It just keeps going on and on and on like that. At the end of the day, people need to get over that shit and integrate into society. The most logical solution is for people that claim to be Palestinians today to go to Jordan and get citizenship. They have no ethnic conflict with their own people.

m +1 ywhich "Mexicans" are you talking about... lol
because almost none of the more than 100 native tribes in California do identify with "Mexico roots"
Mexican is a nationality... and as a nation, when this country became independent from Spain, therefore became Mexican people... they ignored California for the most part, and that is also why it was mostly Europeans and Americans (many of them nationalized to Mexican, but were not really "Mexican" they were Californians) who did settle in there and developed it to what it is today
California was never "Mexican" nor was Texas "Mexican"00 Reply

+1 ythe same reason the native americans can not reclaim their land. of course Israel can go back to Palestine because israel has one of the most powerful militaries on earth thanks to regular annual donations of $3b USD we send them to develop their military. if mexico tried that with the USA we wouldn't leave a single person left alive and would probably just take mexico and add it to the USA as a the 51st and maybe 52nd state

Asker+1 yWhy do we send that money to isreal? It's blood money
- +1 y
do you know what the meaning of blood money is? if you did you would know the money we send israel is not blood money. no the reason we send them 3b per year is because they are our closest ally in the Middle east. they are the only country in the middle east that tolerates lgbt people, they tolerate any religion. they are a democracy to a few of the traits they have as a nation. as such israel is the US's contingency plan for if we have to invade the middle east and need a place to stage troops as such we need them to be able to defend themselves and be able to hold their own in combat. As a result we have helped them advance their military for decades. israel is on par with the most advanced nations on earth to the point it ranks as the 4th most powerful miilitary behind the US, russia and china. though they actually rank 14th in terms of spending because it does not factor in the fact we provide them 3b+ yearly. as a result the only countries that actually can come to blows on an even field with israel are the top 3 in which case it becomes a massacre for israel.
Asker+1 yA democracy lmao
