What are the odds that a non liberty minded majority takes over the world?

My absolute worst fear is that any group which does not advocate for liberty comes to power in the USA or any other first world liberal democracies.

Such groups would be fundamentalist Christians and Muslims. Feminists and communists. Conservatives and left wingers.

I want to live in a free society. I believe a free society is the only proper society for mankind to live under.

But freedom has become the most evil concept for many today. Conservatives, religious nuts, feminists and leftists.

Each groups morality cannot be reconciled with a liberal capitalist society. Said morality will reap destruction onto man kind writ large.

It scares me that so many people are becoming extremists. Mostly in response to the far left who have too much power and influence over a liberal democracy.

The far left is fueling the far right. I see a world where everything comes down to fundamentalist religionists vs communists.

And freedom and liberty shall be forgotten.

Freedom of speech? Screw that, someone could get offended! Muh “hate speech”

Freedom of the press? Hah. How many have been prosecuted, fired, deplatformed, and censored?

Freedom to assemble? C’mon man. Don’t be a super-spreader and make grandma sick!

Freedom of religion? They literally closed down churches and synagogues during Covid.

Right to keep and bear arms? What are you a mass murderer? Sorry, no guns for you.

Freedom from unreasonable search and seizure? Please. We’re being tracked and monitored by every three letter agency in the book, AND Apple AND Microsoft AND Google... you get the point.

I could go on, and on, and each of these examples could be added to. There are no small number of infringements on our liberties daily, and they always want to turn the screws just a little more.

Of course it will never be good enough.

Eventually we’ll all turn into spineless half-creatures, scuttling around and whimpering under the watchful eye of the State, neutered of all power, agency, and self-respect.

We’ll be Europeans.

This is why we need politicians that will support an America first policy. The US has plenty of resources and we could survive just fine if we just shut ourselves off from the rest of the world. The rest of the world can go to hell.

I disagree but I get what you're saying.

The only reason I disagree is due to economics. It is a massive benefit to every country which engages in free trade.

But free trade is capitalism. And capitalism is seen as evil.

Anyways if we cut ourselves off from the rest of the world our economy will suffer.

It's just basic economics. The more participants in the economy the better it is for all of those involved.

It is an upward moving thing that brings us all wealth and prosperity. A better life for us all.

And it's going to be eradicated by nutjobs on the far left and right.

I hope that we don't have to cut ourselves off from the rest of the world some day.

But it might become necessary.
