Why Do Men (Yes, Only Men) Glorify Mass-Murder and Destruction (i. e. Wars)?

Soldiers are not heroes. They're villains, agents of death and destruction, willing pawns of those in charge. Why do we (well, not me, but you know what I mean) praise their "sacrifice" and "service"?

Now, before anyone says something like, "But you women would all be speaking German or Japanese now if it weren't for our brave men in uniform", or something equally silly, let me just remind you that when I talk about soldiers, I mean those on the other side as well. It takes two to tango, and at least two teams to have a war, and it's a fact that without the support of the German Army, Hitler would have been just another windbag politician like Trump, and we would not have had the Second World War.

To everyone below who disagrees and thinks that my question is somehow "stupid", and who can only find it within themselves to reply with asinine, ad hominem remarks, it might help your case if you could actually explain how or why I'm actually wrong. Keep the insults for kindergarten, where I'm assuming most of you belong.
I am RIGHT, and you know this!
