Fully agree with @purplepoppy for this one. Here in UK (excluding Scotland and Wales) MP’s are held to account, they may be slimy snakes and try to get away with stuff, however they do eventually answer to the house and their constituents. We also have imprisoned MPs before. The real corrupt countries are outside of US or democratic European countries.

American politicians are the most corrupt. They pass laws that benefit them at our expense and take millions from big companies and pass legislation that benefits them. Both parties are guilty and neither party wants to see President Trump come back.

I don't know about mainland Europe but I think we're stricter with politicians in the UK. Things like deliberately lying to parliament are a big no no and not 'free speech' as in America. Similarly we'll oust them fairly quickly for inappropriate conduct, Trump and Biden wouldn't last week over here.

I think the European media is less corrupt so politicians have a lower ceiling on how much corruption they can get away with.
