Be careful, folks; you're getting awfully close to being exactly what you claim to despise.
+1 yHmm, I guess it's because when they're not busy grabbing their dicks and looking for anal sex porn, they're busy getting kicked off social forums for talking about it too much. Seriously, though, if you think about it, the internet has made it really easy for people to find information on pretty much anything. But the problem is, with that abundance of information comes the responsibility to actually learn and think critically about what you read, instead of just believing everything you see on social media.
So, maybe it's the fault of all those smartphones in their pockets and their inability to put them down for a second to have a legitimate conversation that has made them so narrow-minded. Or could it be the endless echo chambers created by algorithms that only show them content that aligns with their existing beliefs, reinforcing those beliefs without exposing them to different perspectives?
Oh, and let's not forget how much time they spend playing Fortnite and jerking off to porn. They're too busy to stop and think for a moment, or maybe their brains have turned to mush from watching too much YouTube and twerking videos. If they're not preoccupied with their own self-gratification, they're probably arguing about something trivial on Twitter or Reddit, just so they can feel morally superior to someone else.
And let's face it, folks, this generation loves labels. You'd think they'd be studying how to best hide your @hiddenstroker instead of spending their time trying to figure out which one of the 57 genders they identify with. It's like they're constantly playing a game of "Who Wants to Be a Narrow-Minded Prick?" And don't even get me started on politics. They'll argue about which political party is worse, but they're too lazy to learn about the actual policies and understand how they impact the world.
They're like a bunch of birds with their heads in the sand, refusing to read anything that doesn't fit their preconceived notions, and getting all upset when someone dares to walk up and pound their tight little assholes. And if they're not too busy being offended, they're probably just happily sitting in their mom's basement, playing video games and talking about anal sex.
There, feel better now?

I can't help but feel that some people are missing out on all the fun. Imagine the thrill of finding a hidden stroker in the most unexpected places! It's like a treasure hunt, where you discover a male masturbation device that's just waiting for you there. Just the other day, as I was cleaning out the fridge, I was about to throw out some week-old kung pao chicken. At first, I thought I must have accidentally grabbed onto something else, but when I looked closer, I realized what I found: a surprise stroker in the Chinese food box. It turns out, I must have forgotten about hiding my stroker there, and plans for some self pleasure wilst reading a fortune cookie. And now I couldn't believe my luck! I quickly grabbed onto my surprise male pleasure device and headed off for some solo fun time, feeling grateful for my Ninja-like hiding skills.

Research into certain topics is verboten. Effort is made to keep certain information invisible and difficult to obtain. And certain thoughts and information are demonized. Curiosity is discouraged, even punished.
Schools don't go into any depth aside from a person's field of study.
Media is where most people get their information and develop perspectives. It gives the impression of providing information 24/7, but it actually promotes one, official point of view and no broader context, manufacturing consensus to give the impression of fact. Public opinion is guided by carefully constructed propaganda. The power brokers are masters of manipulation and they increasingly control access to information from education, legacy media, internet, entertainment, and publishing, to scientific reviews, government agencies and NGOs.
It has been made almost impossible to find certain information on-line. One has to hear about books, seek them out and read them in order to get any in-depth knowledge.
Another means of control is to make people feel like they are drowning in constant, so-called information, much of it sensational and violent with the intention of raising people's level of anxiety. The flood includes toxic, crazy-making information and fake conspiracy theories designed to confuse people and discredit actual truth seekers - fact checkers - who question official narratives. Then anyone who questions the official narrative can be mocked as a whack job "conspiracy theorist".
All this has the effect of making many people check out completely from mental and emotional exhaustion and confusion. They feel like they can never discover truth - everything is fake - so they go numb or bury their heads in the sand.

+1 yThere is a described mechanism...
If we have constant access to the knowledge, we don't store it... we don't make it accessible for the process of formulating conclusions... So, the conclusions are developed based on impressions and shallow information stored in short-term memory. The process of remembering in long-term memory is disturbed by constant access to new information.

Damn Bill hitting us the realist quote..
But, you know humans in general are a bit opened and narrowed minded at the same time; in the middle basically and always have been.. You have people that like truth and wants to know about all they can.. And then you have most people that like simple delusions, or simply put their faith in some source they trust instead of doing the work themselves..

Hahahaha.. Nah it was good Bill.. It's a true statement..
+1 yThe most access to knowledge, but also the most conflicting. It's become clear that a lot of "knowledge" of the past was just lies. Anyone who finds that out has to either become a lot more open minded and willing to change, add, or drop pieces of their worldview (not just once, but continuously and indefinitely), or they have to become a lot more narrow minded and decide not to believe anything that challenges their worldview (based on principle rather than truth). A lot of people are more scared of admitting they're wrong and having to change than they are of actually being wrong but not having to do anything about it.

Of course, but not because people have become more dishonest. There's just a lot more opportunity to lie now than at any point in history. There's a lot you can lie about online for example that you couldn't get away with lying straight to someone's face.

20 Reply Failure of schools to educate. In the past schools gave enough education to prepare you for a factory job or office job or the military, how to line up. Arrive at this time, lunch at this time, leave at this time, just enough for the average person to read, write and count but now they don't even do that. Now it's just a babysitting service so both parents can work and contribute to the tax base.

We don't train them to think outside of the box for a good reason.

I think one of the main reasons is that people, particularly young people are absolutely terrified of being unpopular today than arguably any other time previously. It's disgusting, in my opinion, that the powers that be are essentially offering this trade off to the citizenry -- 'We'll help you get a spectacular amount of recognition and star power for your group/tribe/gender/ethnicity -- but only if you agree to rein in your opinions and public postings of those opinions to same degree in return. Unless, of course, you wish to trumpet our official positions on those subjects. Is this a virtual copy of the Soviet model implemented a century ago? There certainly seem to be a lot of commonalities.
