Why do people blame "feminism" in western society for problems when the increasingly degenerative nature of western society is the problem?

The original concept of feminism was simply respect and not to be overly sexualized or objectified, essentially to be respected as contributing members of society. When one considers that's that modern feminists make themselves sexualized objects that show blatant low class behavior & don't always contribute value to society they're hardly feminists. 🙄

However degenerative unsavory behavior is wide scale across western society.

Drug abuse

Criminally

Abuse of welfare, meant as temporary benefits not to raise a new family on, etc

Increasingly little respect for others

Men cheating left, right & center - when I tried online dating for a month the number of men who were separated not even divorced looking for the next screw... was disgusting 😒

Women cheating

Sleeping around like dogs 🐕 if not involved with someone else instead of seeking a decent partner

Lack of respect for morals and ethics

Etc

Why blame feminism when feminism is just a reflection of the shitty unethical immoral society the west is becoming? Talk to any decent - not welfare living but people who contributed to society - people of prior generations and they themselves will call the west

Feminism started as a good idea  and I fully support equal pay and equality in rights. If women want to be independent, less reliant on men, and work for their own money, that should be their right. However, I believe we've achieved equality long ago and modern feminism is pushing a nonsensical agenda, while being an active source of fuel for this progressive movement that's dividing and fueling the war of the sexes.  Modern feminists want to have their cake and eat it too.  Men paying for dates or handling all finances made sense in times where women did not have equal pay. However nowadays, even with equal pay, women still expect men to pay, and desire a man that provides. And that's fine and all of both partners agree to a housewife dynamic. However modern feminists do not want to even cook or clean. Because again... they want to have their cake and eat it too. In other words, they bring nothing to the table. They expect to be sugar babies and bring nothing to the table other than pussy. They're the same women that complain about there being no  real men  left in the world.  Then there's the  #MeToo  movement. Again... it started out with a good cause. It's a good thing if women are able to open up about being raped and rapists are punished. But it caused a wave of sexual harassment claims. It has now gotten to a point in society where men are somewhat fearful of approaching women. And this has further divided the sexes. Women complain that they don't get approached anymore. Well yeah... men aren't exactly fans of being called creeps or having looks of disgust. There are videos on the internet of how women reject men vs how men reject women and men are almost always more polite than women.  Now let's get to jobs and sports. Jobs are now hiring women just to be inclusive. It's much easier to get a job as a woman than it is being a man, especially in male dominated fields. And in sports women want equal pay to men, which makes no sense because they aren't capable of the same physical feats as men. In terms of flexibility and reflexes they are. But in terms of raw strength and speed, they cannot. On average, male athletes in the same sport are stronger and faster than female athletes in the same sport. That's why you have these transgenders beating and stealing championships away from women. Mens sports also bring in a lot more in ticket sales and yet women will ask for equal pay. It makes no sense. Just because you play the same sport does not mean you deserve the same in compensation. If you choose that path in life as a woman, it should be more for passion than income. There are also more women graduating from college and university nowadays than men. And since nowadays you can work as an accountant or whatever, order groceries and food from home, and provide for yourself that way, women genuinely don't need men. Men aren't the providers and protectors anymore anywhere near as much as in the past. Nowadays all you need to do is pull out your phone and start recording to protect yourself. It's an extremely soft society. It's to the point where men don't see our roles in society as easily as we did in the past and feel completely displaced.  The patriarchy is slowly being abolished and modern feminism is a huge factor in its progress. Many, if not most women in the west have adopted this modern feminist mentality and that is why a lot of men are literally going to other countries to find traditional women. It's a movement called  "passport bros" .

I think that's an interesting point trying to get to the root of things, like if feminism as it manifests in the second wave and onward (bundled together with the sexual revolution) is merely a symptom of a deeper problem.

I do at least think intersectional feminism as widely taught in sociology departments isn't helping. When sociology, gender studies, and women's studies courses teach students concepts like "white privilege", "male privilege", heteronormativity, "toxic masculinity", social constructionist views of gender, the idea that marriage is an oppressive patriarchal institution, that everyone who isn't a white heterosexual cismale is living under their oppression, and all backed by bogus factoids like this:

It is because a lot of women of no class say they are feminists. And you are now not supposed to slut shame these same women because they are feminist and just enjoying their "sexual freedoms" or "exploring themselves" LOL. These same women are the reason why men don't have to commit any more because a slut will always be willing to spread her legs for him with just a swipe on his phone.

Maybe I'm a pessimist but I believe that the human nature is to blame, not the culture or feminism.

We are designed to be promiscuous and to cheat on each other, marriage was just an invention and the reason why couples weren't separating was that religion was forcing them to be together.

The degenerative nature of western society is pushed by socialist which represent themselves under the banner of the Democrat party in the United States. 50.4% of the American population are women making them the largest voting block. 56% of women who are registered to vote are registered Democrats. When you examine their voting patterns and their association with feminism you notice 75% of Democrat leaning women consider themselves at least somewhat feminists, while 28% consider themselves very feminists. Thus 50.4*0.56*0.75 =  21.17%  of the American population are both feminists and vote for degenerative socialist policy pushed by the Democrat party that is destroying the west. Because feminism is a huge contributor to social degeneration. Women control access to sex to literally anything in regards to sex is entirely the women's fault. She controls who she sleeps with, she controls if she gets pregnant, she controls how many people she sleeps with. She controls if she targets a man for child support. The original ideas of feminism, as I’ve read it, was around legal equality. It had very little to do with a perceived general term of respect and desire to curb over-sexualiztion. In fact, the feminist movement had some very strong sexual overtones as women wanted to have the freedom to NOT be committed to a man, to dress how they wanted, and live a more open life. (Heck - even miniskirts & bikinis became very controversial fashion trends at the same time as the rise of feminism, and there is an aspect of sexuality to that.)

The rise of women in the workplace, accessible birth-control, and a drastic and radical shift in social norms meant young women were enjoying an amount of social & sexual freedoms previously unheard of.

Despite this being true, the majority of the original feminist movement was around the right to own property, open their own independence bank accounts and businesses. Equal pay in the workplace and equal opportunity to advance. Legal protections at work around maternity, opportunity, and such. It’s not so long ago a woman wouldn’t be taken seriously as a police officer, doctor, pilot, or firefighter. Many fields were so hostile to women they weren’t virtually 100% male dominated despite zero legal barriers. In fact, the few women pioneers in these fields had to contend with some horrible harassment. My grandmother was one of these pioneer women, as the first female police officer in her department. Some big US cities had them but where she lived, she was the first.

Because the feminists who have the power to actually make positive change in the world (who no one voted for) have done nothing but ban men from certain places on college campuses, actively fight against shared custody, protest against men's issues conferences, undermine the right to due process, promoting segregation of the sexes, advocating for censorship, lobbying the government to rewrite rape laws so that women are incapable of committing it, etc.

Even if you yourself don't want any of that, you have to believe that we live in a patriarchy (which is defined as a society made by men for the purpose of subjugating women) in order to be a feminist in the first place. It is designed to make men out to be the enemy which is why they either outright ignore men's issues entirely or handwave them by implying that men are not acting like human beings like refusing to show emotions (never mind the fact that when they do, feminists call it "emotional labor" to be expected to listen and care).

It is incongruous to argue that feminism is a movement for equality between the sexes and putting on a facade of egalitarianism to gain the moral highground while all the actions are centered around the idea that one sex is exclusively to blame for the other's problems, that one has all the advantages and is directly responsible for the disadvantages for the other and that one sex needs to rise up and overthrow the other to achieve parity ("the future is female").

To top it all off, feminists take any criticism, no matter how legitimate, as hatred of women.

A feminist woman for one will not sexually objectify themselves. They also work hard at making sure they can survive in this world without a man.
