What evidence is there of discrimination against women in the Middle Ages?

I have heard many people say that at that time women were sex slaves and exchanged for goats (I immediately thought, damn, I wish I had been born at that time), however I have done my own research and most of the stories like this or related are myths.

Your research was fairly poor, under common law women were not allowed to own anything. On marriage everything went to their husband, that is everything including her clothes etc. on his death if he proceeded her, she was not entitled to anything, this was then changed to thirds in part from Magna Carta, that last until 1750’s ish. Men could sell their wives and then remarry, this got around the divorce side of things which was expensive and took too long. The Renaissance is what really made things far harder for women, in 13th century seeing a vision could propel her to saint hood, in the 14th century it would propel her to be be burned at the stake. There is loads of stuff really, try doing better research next time.

It's not a big deal, I was just interested in knowing if they were slaves or not, and according to my research they were not.

The middle ages are a long time.

And peasants weren't treated that well anyway, regardless of women or men.

But you got Queens who were beheaded and replaced for giving birth to daughters not sons.

You got witchburning when the women were blamed for all sorts of misfortune.

You got arranged marriages, where the daughters (and sons) were married off for the benefit of the fathers.

You got Laws, which are still described in the bible, where injures, rape or even death to a woman, are treated as damage to the husbands or fathers property.

They were burning woman at the stake toward the end of it. Stoning to death and the like before. It's easier the mention the flip. There are few cultures who held woman in equal or high regard. Vikings, early Japanese culture and some islander regions are some of them.

More likely to be burned alive, treated and sold around as chattel to men, frequent victims of sexual violence with no recourse etc

Recorded history shows men controlled everything before during and after that era.
