Maybe in comparison to the rest of the world.

But to paraphrase comedian Daniel Tosh. In the United States men may have a disproportionate amount of the power. But it's not a lot more than women compared to say Saudi Arabia where you have the men in control and the women's power my be just a little above say the house pet.

So I can see how in comparison it might seem that way. I think most women and most men would still agree there's still pockets of misogyny. That that racism and sexism still exist.

My only real knock on women is that the ones that scream bloody murder about this subject don't concede to how good they have it in the United States in comparison. You're not going to get jailed, raped, possibly beheaded for your voice. At least here she has a platform.

Social change takes time. Hopefully as a society we'll keep improving and get there.

I understand. But a man does not fear a woman. I mean I think a lot of women make very bad choices when left to thier own devices. Because a lot of women make too many decisions based of emotion. You see it all over this site for example. But women should be equal and should have the opportunity to screw up thier life as much as any guy.😂
I think you and I probably think similar except I get the impression you feel it's man's job to protect women. And I feel it's man's job to only protect the women who WANT to be protected. Am I wrong?

I fear women. I fear the laws they’re capable of abusing in order to hurt men that are meant to protect women. And I never said men should protect women. I honestly think the ones who do are protecting bad women as well as good and they should only be protecting the good. Even though I believe there are more bad women than good. It's very logical with evolution to back it up.

A sperm impregnate an egg what are the chances of the new life being male or female. You'd think 50/50 for an average birth. That is not true. The environment surrounding the mother impacts the potential pregnancy. During very harsh times the pregnancy tilts female and prosperity times it tilts male.

We can see this play out how social construction of gender roles. The prized maiden and expendable warriors. So During harsh devastation the country could regroup and birth more people. The prosperity times created more cannon fader in expansion wars for higher lords. You can also follow the logic of male and female roles over time under this understanding of biology.

If there is a bottle neck of potential child bering citizens the country of or even human race is destroyed. Like how china made the one child policy wanting males but now are what a 10,000 males to every female. Where everyone is pretty miserable.

The US is not a single society or social order, but an amalgamation of many. Some of them are explicitly or implicitly patriarchal. Some are implicitly or explicitly matriarchal. There's really too much regional/social variation to make a definitive statement.

In general, though, men in America tend to wield more power, but women in America tend to be more...'cherished', if you will. Still, our various sub-societies have radically different attitudes to virtually everything. Our legal system formally affords slightly more favorable rights to women, for the most part, but when it comes to actual voting, people choose men. When it comes to actually promoting people, for the most part, people choose men.

I'd rather be an average woman than an average man in America, I think, but being an above average man is definitely really great here.

Is that equality toward both genders? True equality between sexes is no distinction between genders. Equality ladies, mean you take the bad with the good.
