People need something to believe in. Most people, anyway. People need a way to believe that their wrongdoings can be forgiven. Women don’t really need this as much as men do these days however. Women are always forgiven while men are just demonized and told to deal with it themselves individually alone and that they shouldn’t get help because that would be unmanly. But once they receive that help they’re ridiculed for having done so. So without religion, people still start to off themselves.
