The thing about lies, is that it's a false confidence that eventually crumbles away to nothing, and leaves you with only one option.

Sort of like a career criminal is never going to get the top job regardless of how close they get to it.

I never heard that. That's an interesting factoid. I'd assume because they're missing the peace that God brings to your life. I know that's what I get out of it. Before my life was chaos and I didn't even know it. Now with Jesus in my life I always have a north star so to speak. Even at times when it seems like the whole world is against me I always have God in my corner

Put simply they have no hope for the future. God is the source of life and light. Only he can rid the earth of its problems. So if you don't believe in God, you never become aware of the wonderful future that awaits righteous people here on earth. Death is the end of it all for atheists. So if you think no one cares about your life, eventually you won't either, because everything is in vain and nothing matters.

If that's the case why don't religious people end commit suicide as soon as they realize paradise awaits them in the afterlife.

Life can be made in a laboratory so I guess humans are God then and if you are using "light" as a synonym for goodness then you're just talking ideologically as it doesn't reflect real life events. Horrific acts are enacted daily with the guidance of this supposed "God" and God certainly doesn't stop any evil from happening.

Good questions with simple answers. First, a true Christian views life as a sacred gift to be cherished. He has faith that God almighty will undo any damage caused by humans. Jesus spoke of light in relation to good and righteous. It is fitting because good has no need of the dark, because there is nothing to hide. Life simply could not exist without first having been created by the almighty. Labwork in a lab does not really produce creation, as the elements already exist. You can't get to Paradise unless God grants you entry, and for that one has to believe that he is and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. Also everlasting life in Paradise involves coming to know God and his son, and living in harmony with Bible principles. That just leaves one question that you raise. So why doesn't God stop evil things from happening right now? If you really wish to know, reply here and I will tell you the answer based on the Bible.
