Do you think that feminism has pushed women so hard to become equal to men that they've become hesitant and afraid of their own femininity?
5.9K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. No. Why shouldn't women have the same right to education and a career and to support themselves as do men? How are men and women different in that respect?
Why shouldn't women be allowed to choose their own paths in life and not be financially dependent on men for survival? That doesn't make them less feminine. Femininity is a function of being a heterosexual female. It’s laughable that a woman with a profession can’t be feminine.
Is it bad that groping women without permission is no longer acceptable? Is it bad that it's unacceptable to coerce women into sex? Is it bad that contraceptives have allowed women to become sexually liberated?
When I look around, I don't see many women trying to look or act like men. In fact, the majority of women are as feminine as ever and have more fashion choices than any time in the past.
Who cares about the extreme minority of bitter misandrists. They are as easily ignored as manosphere douche bags.
As many women as men still long for marriage and children. Some want to be stay at home housewives. But more and more women want husbands who respect them, who aren't emotionally distant, self-centered or domineering, who want an equal partnership in which they and their partner want each other to feel valued, happy and fulfilled.
Most women are no longer happy being second class citizens or playing subordinate roles in relationships.
I think feminism only threatens men who want docile, submissive women. Those men think women are mentally inferior. The idea that some women have the gall to have their own aspirations pisses those men off. They think women’s lives should revolve around them and that the entire dynamic should be about the man’s happiness while his only responsibility is to earn money and pay her room and board.
If some women are self-centered and materialistic, they learned it from men. They take advantage just as men take advantage.
The reality is, we no longer live in Victorian times when women were only taught how to do domestic chores and live with their parents until a suitable suitor asked for their hand in marriage. Women now have the ability to choose how, and with whom, they want to spend the rest of their lives.
Some men can’t adjust to the fact that they have just as much responsibility to make their wives happy as their wives have to make them happy. And there is much more to happiness than money. What about things like love, adoration, tenderness, appreciation, respect, attention, communication, compromise, and mutual fulfillment?
If femininity has been wounded, men bear a lot of responsibility. After all, feminism wouldn’t have arisen at all if there hadn’t been a need. Complaining about feminism is like complaining about blacks who worked to end segregation.
It is as common today than ever for men to treat women as mere pleasure units. They use women for their own gratification and then denounce them for being sluts. They love women’s appearance but condemn them for being slutty when they try to look appealing. So, naturally, women have no respect for such hypocrites and will go ahead and do what they want.
Some guys are simply not gentlemen and have no idea how to treat women as ladies. They are completely greedy, self-centered, bitter and have a low opinion of women in general. They use feminism as an excuse to deliberately treat women like crap.
Then there is the “body count” issue or the idea that some guys wouldn’t marry a woman who has been “run through”. I can only feel sorry for guys who are so sexually inhibited, immature and insecure. But I don’t sympathize at all when they whine and seek affirmation for their Victorian attitudes.
I encourage women to engage in relationships and to move on if the relationships don’t work out. That’s how people gain experience, learn from their mistakes, and become more mature. It's how they learn about sex. And it’s how they learn to choose the right partners and become capable of being good wives and mothers.26 Reply- +1 y

12K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. I think the (mostly white) Feminist movement, originally justified as the Women's Liberation movement of the 60's, has become corrupted as has the Environmentalist and Civil Rights, movements by Leftists. The movement has denied women the choice of traditional roles as homemakers, mothers and traditional wives, leaving their lives empty beyond career objectives.
Ordinary men do not want these women for other than sex and a paycheck, which has given rise the the Hookup Culture, rampant divorce and domestic violence. Is principally responsible for the decline of Western culture as both as causes and effects. It is why many men are crossing over to Black women as well as seeking women offshore in the Orient and Latin America. Side benefit? The voluntary Browning of America; meaning many white men aren't Racist at all!!!

+1 yI think feminine and masculine ideas should be de-gendered. What's between your legs determines your gender not how you act. We have to understand that. Men are laughed at for not being masculine enough and women are judged for not being feminine enough. These ideas are social conditioning. Although people refuse to believe that because they don't understand conditioning. Obviously that's clear looking at the results of most people. It's sad but we are still living in the dark ages. Most people can't even figure out how to earn simply 6 figures per year despite the important need for money. The problem with the dark ages is you don't know you're in one. If you knew, you'd know why and then change it. Very few people know why. Not enough.
I think you have to go through these growing pains sadly. And because people don't understand conditioning you have to wait for a new generation to come around because they will be programmed the right way. But we could just change our own programming but people don't understand conditioning. That's why environment is so dominant sadly.23 Reply- +1 y
It's literally genetic disposition. Society is the one trying to convince you it's not by making females more like men. Yet as hard as they try I see very few female plumbers, construction workers, window washers etc.
Modern feminism is a cancerous ideology that hurts both men and women. - +1 y
@bobby_bush_eater It's not. We'll have to agree to disagree. Humans have the ability to choose their conditioning but most don't. Once we get old enough we can choose are conditioning. Most people don't know how to think and so their environment controls their conditioning. You see few female plumbers because the conditioning produces such. This should be basic but it isn't because people don't understand conditioning let alone how to think.
All ideology that isn't for freedom of thought is cancerous. This is the oldest lesson in humanity. We repeat the same things over and over. - +1 y
And yet, Feminism isn’t about choice. If a girl chooses to be traditional or anti abortion, Feminists bitch about that or ostracize her.
Also, gender roles aren’t socially conditioned 100%. Most of it is biologically predestined because men have FAR more testosterone levels than women which is why we are more driven. Men are builders, fixers, and innovators of society whereas women are healers and nurturers. Naturally, there are exceptions (I do MMA).
What you Feminists won’t see or can’t see is that my fellow female MMA colleagues still want a man - even a queen wants a king and unsurprisingly he has to be either very masculine or highly intelligent.
And why do you think we keep repeating things over and over? Fundamentally it’s because humans don’t change - I suppose that’s social conditioning too.
Uh, no, ideologies that seek total freedom is also cancerous as I explained in another MyTake. When you study macro economic cycles over 500 years, you will in short, realize Feminism ultimately is one of the main reasons why an empire is destroyed because it demasculates men in the process (as you’re attempting to do RIGHT NOW).
It’s not just the country that is weakened, but the military as well - I have a lot of friends in the military and many are complaining about all this gender role, 97 genders, and other woke nonsense that is weakening our military.
The brave men and women who protect us are now at increasing risk of death because you far left folks want to sing Disney songs to a jihadist coming at you with an Ak47 - maybe you can teach them about gender roles while they’re tearing out your teeth one by one.
4.5K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. I don’t think this is feminism. It’s life. For far too long, women have been allowing everyone else to define what femininity looks like (soft, nurturing, easygoing) but women are realizing that when they embody this without *also* embodying their darker characteristics (confidence, intuitive, discerning, boundary setting) they’re taken advantage of. Femininity is both soft and hard in certain ways by nature and the only way women are going to embrace it is when they SEE how all encompassing it is, not how limiting it’s forced to be.

Inbox, I don’t think women OR men should be aggressive or loud as possible. Not that those qualities are tied to either gender in the first place because I don’t think they are.
Solitary, men don’t need women to define masculinity either. I’m not interested in doing that, got better things to do. But I am told by men on a weekly, sometimes daily basis what a feminine woman looks like and I don’t agree with them most of the time. - +1 y
You don't have to agree with them just like I don't have to agree with you women.

Anonymous(30-35)+1 yNo I would say it is the red pill and figure heads andrew tate and jordan peterson. They tell young men and boys all they are is mindless predatory men who drop their for people when they see get a boner to an attractive female and it doesn't matter if she is intelligent or acts like a psychopath. So then Gen Z guys who grew up with nothing, but a smart phone in their hand act like complete degenerates around women which make women disturbed by men and they try to dress attractive and tell men they are looking for a man with 6 figure salary or 6 foot tall and nothing less and makes those men even more angry and it makes women ever disgusted at men and don't want them around them.
That is what is causing those issues with femininity. The real misandrist are Andrew Tate and the red pill telling men they are only dumb idiots who only want sex and if you can't get it there is something wrong with you or you are a loser. Then they pay for his course and try to get women and they fail because it's bullshit he just wants you to keep clicking on his videos and paying for bullshit pua courses when all he does is take pictures with hookers you don't see any real women that are into him.

+1 yYes. Feminism morphed into a disgusting selfish ideology where women want to be men but still claim they deserve all treatment of the past and they don't need to provide anything themselves.
They're delusional, society pushes this idea too. Look at every new movie and show, 90% of the time the women is unstoppable or a genius and simultaneously inherits many of the traits of toxic masculinity. They try to celebrate this as independence but it's simultaneously toxic for men.
Not all women think this way but a ton do and a ton do it subconsciously due to society. Women have a massive sense of self importance at the expense of their view of men. Simultaneously they're becoming more immoral and promiscuous as well as many other degenerate behaviors. It's awful

+1 yYes, femininity is dying now. It's seen as "weak". Main characters in films, who are femlae, for example, are portrayed as masculine and rarely ever wear feminine clothes. They act all "tough" and try to be like a man. Women don't even look like women anymore.

It’s also the reason I can enjoy baking without feeling guilty for not doing more for feminism. Anyone who thinks that feminism has had any effect whatsoever on femininity make it clear to me that they might think they know what women have been through, but they really don’t.

- +1 y
@bobby_bush_eater Apparently, they still don't have a right to an abortion.

It’s not my job to educate ignorant people. You’re a grown man. You are capable of finding out for yourself if you just remove the ignorance based bias and try to put yourself in the shoes of a woman.

I actually have researched a lot about this and can go into great detail about why modern feminism is a completely different ideology from the past and is a massive net negative on society.
Clearly you are just going to get emotional and claim you know everything because you're a woman. @bobby_bush_eater I won't agree or disagree with Roe and Dobbs.
Frankly, it shouldn't be a state matter.
This is part of the problem with the 10th Amendment; it's not specific enough.
The 10th Amendment
Amendment X
The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people.
That last part:
"are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people."
Well, what the fuck should be reserved to the people and what should be reserved to the states?
Under Roe, it was reserved to the people.
Under Dobbs, it became reserved to the states.
And that's the problem with many conservative rulings now. If they don't EXPLICITY see that something is for the people, then they assume it doesn't exist and they just give it to the states. It's as if the 10th Amendment was abridged to:
"The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively."
So, whether the right to an abortion belongs to the states or the person is a matter of judicial interpretation. Personally, I believe it belongs to the person.
And that's ultimately what will happen; I would not be surprised to see an eventual constitutional amendment for the right to an abortion and other rights as well. All because the 10th Amendment like the 2nd Amendment and others was written like shit. - +1 y
@bobby_bush_eater I never mentioned anything about rights in my original post. Maybe you need to read it again. Also using the “because you’re a woman” phrase means you’re still working with a bias against women. I know I don’t know everything, but considering you’re claiming that modern day feminism has done nothing and the fact that I come face to face with matters that feminism fights more than the average male means that I likely have more experience with it. Don’t forget, you first came at me with the claims that you know more than I do, not the other way around. You would’ve gone about it more respectfully if you’re truly just trying to learn, but you didn’t. You went about it with an attitude that says you think you know all about feminism and that’s not the attitude of someone who truly just wants to learn.
- +1 y
@thatshydork
You're right in the fact that my initial comments were not polite, it was wrong and rude, I apologize for that.
"I come face to face with matters that feminism fights more than the average male means" on this point can you expand on that from your personal perspective? What matters are you coming face to face with? I'm genuinely curious I am not trying to belittle your view. - +1 y
@abc3643 yeah it is kind of a mess with the 10th amendment there but something that's this important shouldn't be controlled by a judicial ruling in my opinion and like you said the to the people part is almost scary as to what the government could just rule is reserved to the people.
I am generally in favor of States controlling such decisions as we are one United nation of states, states are supposed to be able to decide these kinds of things unless they're codified. It'll never be an amendment as long as the 2 party system is, it's too divided and the numbers are too close at least these past years. It also would be a veto for any Republican president. - +1 y
@bobby_bush_eater Plenty of amendments have passed with bipartisan support. And if women abandon the GOP like they have done in 2022, that's going to be problematic for the GOP. Even in solid-red Kansas, abortion has been a problem for the GOP.
- +1 y
@bobby_bush_eater as a woman, i often have to fear for my own safety not only when alone at night, but whenever I’m the only woman in a room full of men too. As a woman, when I get a full time job, things that I will have to face are the glass ceiling, wage gaps, and sexist remarks from men when doing the exact same job and having the exact same title as men. As a woman, I have to maintain composure at all times or else I get accused of being on my period or being too emotional because I’m a woman. I grew up being told that there was no way I could ever beat a man at sports just because I’m a woman. Forget about the level of skills I had at that sport, because according to random people, I will never beat a man just because I’m a woman. I don’t have the right to my own body because men who think it’s ok to say things like “grab her by the pu$$y” are in power. Because of men like that, I don’t have the right to a safe abortion. Instead, women like me have to risk their life either to get an abortion or to carry their baby to full term even when the pregnancy is no longer viable through no fault of the mother. As a woman, I could get arrest in several states if I get pregnant and have a miscarriage, even if it’s through no fault of my own.
- +1 y
These are mostly behavioral societal issues. Someone putting you down for the sole reason of being a woman is wrong, I absolutely agree with that and I can understand how those comments can cause fear when certain people who think that way are in power.
The miscarriage point is a bit simplified, to my understanding things are definitely more complicated in states like Texas and Tennessee but to be arrested for that is an over simplification.
I agree with most of what you said being wrong and not fair but where I disagree is that feminism is playing a role in trying to remedy any of this except abortion. The wage gap has been disproven and is illegal, glass ceilings for women are illegal too. Most of your other points go back to morals, in reality (at least in my view) this falls to the parents of kids. To have a mother and father who set the example and teach their children morals. After 1st and 2nd wave feminism violent crime towards women was much lower than it is today. It's not even close, feminism today attacks the nuclear family and pushes women to be more masculine. They also pushed the sexual revolution which contributes to degeneracy and single parent households whose children commit much more sexual crimes and crimes in general.
I agree with most of your points as problems in our society but I do disagree with the idea modern feminism is helping to fight any of these. I think very strongly they contribute to all these problems

And the young naive 1st wave feminists didn't conceive their movement could be corrupted so they stayed silent as the newcomers strayed from the movements core aims and beliefs. This silent tacit acceptance made it harder to speak up against the lunatic fringe. They then took over the movement entirely. It's fascinating history.
