Do you fat-shame people? Why does society insist on making fat people hate themselves?

Fat is not lazy (skinny people can be lazy too).
Fat is not unhealthy (skinny people can be unhealthy too).
Fat is not ugly (skinny people can be ugly too and ugly is subjective, anyway).
Fat is not evil (skinny people can be evil too).
Fat is not slow (skinny people can be slow too).

It’s almost like people are just people regardless of the size or shape of their bodies.
Regardless of the shape or health of a body, the person inside is a human being…
with feelings and dreams and hopes and aspirations who deserve to be treated with respect.

What do we gain as a society by making fat people feel bad about themselves? Nothing. We gain nothing.

So again, I ask... why does society insist on making fat people hate themselves? It’s infuriating and useless.

Do you really believe that a fat person doesn't already know that they are fat?

I mean seriously, a fat person wakes up every morning hating themselves for what we look like and that we don't look like everyone else. Although, statistically speaking right now, about 3.12 billion people (39% of the global population) have obesity.

If a fat person is eating a slice of pizza we get told, "Oh my god, can't you eat something healthier? Don't you have any self-respect?"
