Why do people HATE children yet love BABY animals?

Why has it become acceptable to hate children simply because they didn't pop out of the womb as a fully functional, emotionally regulated adult with a 9 to 5? Where is the compassion for the little people who are still learning their identity in this fast paced world? I'm sorry but I don't think tantrums are grounds for discrimination against children.

On the flip side, it seems the same people who have a serious grudge against toddlers have no qualms when it comes to caring for baby animals who are often noisy, messy, destructive, costly, and dependant. Why are these actions permissible only for certain species?

My wife and I have no emotional attachment to babies. But animals, we’ll jump in front of cars to rescue. I don’t know…. just different.

Pets are cheaper, better tempered, easier to train and discipline, they don't cause you injury or death when they're born etc.

I like animals and kids. The ones that irritate me the most are adults because they're supposed to know better when they act childish. That being said, almost all people that don't care for children would never harm one. There's a difference between not wanting to be around kids, and wishing them ill will or wanting to harm them. In fact most of them would probably defend the child if they were in danger from an adult. In this age of extreme opinions, there's a middle ground there.

My sons and daughters are the most important things in my life and I would never trade them for anything. They’re a part of me and will forever be a part of me and that can never be taken away. I love to see them grow everyday. I cherish every sacrifice, every tear from every bump and bruise along the way.
