Is it some new kind of fad or badge of honour to be autistic, these days? Why does everyone, suddenly, claim they ARE?

From what I've seen, autistic means you kinda live in your own little bubble and no one from the outside world can reach you, you don't talk or understand much of anything anyone else says to you and you're scared shitless to have strangers touch you.
How can you be autistic and still be a social animal?

Well you don't know everything about Autism then, it is a spectrum disorder and some people can be social and understand perfectly well what is being said. And not all of them are scared shitless by someone touching them.

But we do have a self diagnosis problem these days and some say they have Autism or something else so as to get away with wrongdoing.

Tiktok made it cool like being trans. As someone who is actually on the spectrum I do find it annoying when people are like hey look at me I'm quirky so I must be autistic. It makes the publics view skewed on what autism actually is.

Today, I'm trans, just because i say so. Tomorrow, I'm gonna be autistic, the next day, I'll be both.
