Fired for being introverted. Unfair?

I recently took on a job, about 2 1/2 weeks ago, as a receptionist at an animal hospital because I love animals and want a career helping them. There is a TON of stuff you have to learn while being in this position & I was doing great making appointments, taking payments, and even helping out in the kennels. All of a sudden I get an email stating I am no longer employed as of yesterday, but my manager can tell I am a true animal lover & that she is sorry & hates to do this to me. I go up there today and confront her because I just don't understand why I'm being let go in such a short amount of time. She says to me "You are "great" with animals, but only "good" with people. If I had a spot open as a Technician I feel you would thrive, but I need someone more out going up front" I was pissed because I had not been given a chance to learn everything needed to know as a receptionist yet, so I had no idea what to tell people about medications, ordering prescriptions or anything of that matter. All I was taught in that time was to make appointments, check patients out, and paperwork needed for boarding animals. I think this was really unfair since I was not even given a chance to improve. She said she didn't blame me for being an "observer", but she had to let me go, and let me sign a resigning letter instead of a termination...
