First most of the secret service is administrative and logistics. Analyzing threats, determining parade routes, sniper positions, and investigation. Certainly women are capable of this. The Secret Service also investigates money counterfeiting and is tasked with keeping our money safe. But what you are asking is if yhey should be on guard duty.
A guard has 3 tasks, the first is to identify and neutralize threats. This is scanning the crowds looking for unusual behavior, watching for unusual movements, flashes of reflection that could be a scope etc. I think there's a strong argument that women are better than men in recognizing unusual or suspicious behavior so in this case yes. There second job is to be a human shield women are just as capable as men of being shot, though they may cover a smaller area so maybe not as effective but arguably not by much. Third they are a first responder medical team, I think its well established that women are capable of medical response though possibly not as capable of carying a victim.
So as others have pointed out the US Secret Service does also protect women I would say yes, they should. Its nice when a woman clears a ladies room as an example.
Maybe a handful. But more than likely no. There was an all female SWAT team from Chile competing in a SWAT challenge, it took them forever to get past the the zip line. The all women’s firefighting team that set the forest on fire in Banff Nat’l park in Canada also proves this. Let’s face it if a man was beating your ass, would you be happy that the police department sent two women to handle him? Would you be happy w an all female firefighting squad trying to save the lives of your family in a burning building? Probably not. I know I sure as hell wouldn’t. There’s been videos on female firefighters trying to knock down doors w no success. These women who were guarding Trump weren’t even tall enough to shield him. Regardless of a gender a person who holds that position should be as tall if not taller, that’s their job. If that means taking a bullet that’s what it means. The person who made the call to not position secret service on top of that building was a female. She said because it was too slanted, she felt it was too dangerous to put officers on that roof. A majority of women have never been in combat. A lot of those secret service agents have some prior military service or something, so they know what to look for strategically cause they’ve been in situations like that or were trained in it for years. I don’t think women have that instinct as far as when it comes to combat, that instinct that men have when it comes to fighting, to killing things to include animals as far as how to capture them. Sure there’s a handful of women who could do it, just a handful. Not all this well I’m faster than my male friends, or I beat him at arm wrestling. When I competed in sports w boys when we were younger I used to beat them. No, most women shouldn’t be in roles like this.
half of spies are actually women. it's more strategic in a lot of situations to use women for the job. most jobs in that line of work actually aren't really like the movies and aren't very physical typically anyways (most of the james bond type action shit is done by navy seals and other special forces actually). though if we're talking the more physical secret service jobs i think it's better if it's just dudes who do it
The reason Trump chooses females to protect him is that they are less likely to betray him and kill him while claiming to protect him. Most people believe somebody in his security detail intentionally exposed him to attack out of hatred for him because a guarded figure like Trump would be impossible to kill if his security guards were all loyal to him.

If they are capable of performing the job, of course. And there are Secret Service agents assigned to the First Lady, and I would guess that there are times when having female agents would make like more comfortable for the First Lady.
Not in my opinion. I might get hate for this but men and women are very different physically. I'll be honest... there are obviously women out there that are more capable than myself physically, but they are in the minority and a man's peak is almost always going to be higher than a girl's peak.
To be fair though, if they do have secret service agents, they should all have a standard of physical fitness, regardless of if they're a man or woman. I swear inclusivity and body positivity is a plague on society.
No. Men are physically stronger, faster, have better hand eye coordination, and are more capable of handling high stress combat situations than women. Women simple do not have the elite level physical skills necessary for the job.
Everything you need in a Secret Service Agent can be found in capable men, in spades. This is simply not the case for women.
You act like you never even HEARD of PTSD.
Tell me why veterans have groups to support each other?
I don’t even need to go into detail.
And meanwhile men and women have different strong points when it comes to vision.
One sees further
One sees a wider range of colors/hues.
Hand and eye coordination and reflexes can be taught.
Ask any athlete and gym trainer.

And I'd say that women can be employed in many jobs and in my lifetime of my 30 years plus ongoing, I've worked in jobs with women, with men, with equal opportunity and with disabled or high functioning and or people with all sorts of life experiences and identities and personalities.
So you know, I just feel like it's a simple answer for me.
I voted yes and I gave thumbs up 👍🏻
Sure, if they fit the job requirements. I personally wouldn’t risk my life for anyone though.
For sure, they can be braver than a lot of men and take a bullet just the same.
No, definitely not. And they shouldn't be in the police force or army either. Just look at the female secret service agent in the photo there. Maybe I'm wrong, but she looks like she's panicking, like she's uncertain of what to do next. She doesn't look very fit either, and one would think that being fit and in good health would be essential for what it is that she has to do, which is protect the life of a president from potential assassins.
I mean why not? Plenty of women are stronger than many men (yes it's a minority, but so is being in the secret service lol). If you're good at the job, you're good at the job.
Unfortunately the woman who couldn’t even holster her weapon under stress is in the majority of people who shouldn’t be doing that job
Dude, lots of people misperform under stress, that's not a "women are incapable of handling stress" thing and more of a "some people, regardless of gender, don't handle stress in a way that is appropriate to physically unsafe environments". I'm 100% sure that there are tons of men, probably many that i know, that would fumble a weapon in a high-stress situation. Beside, there's tons of studies on this sort of thing: Who's the better shot? Who deals with stress better? Who's more rational? The vast majority of those studies come out saying, "it's about the same overall".
It's not "women" shouldn't do it, it's "people who have the wrong stress responses (which vary significantly by individual)" shouldn't do it. One person being a bad fit is not indicative of an entire subpopulation's ability, or of some other individual's ability.
When I become president, I'll feel a lot safer with men protecting me and my family.
As long as they're trained an competent yes. The sad thing is how the right are using this as evidence women shouldn't be in certain roles.
Nope, such jobs are for men, it was funny when i saw this woman playing this role, also not only for regular men but for highly trained strong men!
95% of Secret service agent's duties is controlling people. Only women can manual search other women, that's why women are necessary in police, airport security and security services.
No, not unless the entrance requirements are the exact same as men... Which they aren't.
Sure, just not in the field. Unless they are disguised for some reason.
Was she not doing a good enough job to protect your boi?
That depends. What's you policy on acceptable losses as far as innocent bystanders getting fragged go?
Sure, let them run the risks just like men do.
Maybe as snipers but not bodyguards.
They also shouldn't be hired because they are women either. They need to have the merits to back up their position.
If they can do the job as well as the next person, sure why not
That’s a big if lol

*gets some red wine too*
Sure, why not?
I’m asking lol
you got that right!
Women aren't meant to have such jobs, just saying 😁
Nothig can make me laugh harder more than seeing women acting like men 🤣🤣
No but hell no!!
In some, but not all roles.
