Republicans under Trump have increasingly advocated violence as a way to gain power because they know their unpopular positions cannot lead their candidates to victory in free and fair elections. In this moment it appears they are projecting their own behavior onto Biden and the Democrats, blaming them for advocating violence when in fact, Biden and the Democrats have tried hard to enact commonsense gun safety laws and have consistently condemned the violent language and normalizing of political violence by Republicans - which they routinely write off as a "just joking."
Biden spoke to the nation, warning that Americans need to “lower the temperature in our politics and to remember, while we may disagree, we are not enemies. We’re neighbors. We’re friends, coworkers, citizens. And, most importantly, we are fellow Americans. And we must stand together.” He condemned the violence, noting that “[a] former president was shot” and “an American citizen killed while simply exercising his freedom to support the candidate of his choosing…. There is no place in America for this kind of violence or for any violence ever. Period. No exceptions. We can’t allow this violence to be normalized.”
The framers of the Constitution, he said, “created a democracy that gave reason and balance a chance to prevail over brute force. That’s the America we must be, an American democracy where arguments are made in good faith, an American democracy where the rule of law is respected, an American democracy where decency, dignity, fair play aren’t just quaint notions, but living, breathing realities.”
Biden rejected the weird idea that criticizing the Republicans’ extremism was polarizing. While they can “criticize my record and offer their own vision for this country,” he said, “I’ll continue to speak out strongly for our democracy, stand up for our Constitution and the rule of law, to call for action at the ballot box, no violence on our streets. That’s how democracy should work.”

Unfortunately Democrats are so weak they will fall for this conservative ploy of "civility". The wolves know this is just a chance to try to silence the Dems, while they continue to use the most damning language against Biden and the left that they possibly can to scare people more towards Trump. It's all just more leverage to win for them, they don't actually give a shit what is said about them. They know most of it is true, and their base doesn't care anyway.
Lol, the gaslighting from you shitlibs is hilarious.
Gaslighting by calling matters of record gaslighting isn't as sneaky as you think it is.
Gaslighting is you morons trying to convince everyone that leftist violence and the democrat's violent rhetoric isn't happening. Guess what... no one is buying it.
Feel free to cite an example.
Let’s make sure we show up wherever we have to show up. And if you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd. And you push back on them. And you tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere.
I don't know what that's supposed to mean but my best guess is you are quoting some obscure lefty. Anyway, I don't see a call for violence anywhere and it's frankly hilarious that your first best example has no hint of what you claimed.
It was Maxine Waters. You're calling that obscure? A continual rhetoric of calling people on the right Nazi's, and a "threat" is 100% encouraging violence. Because if someone is an actual threat to the existence of this country, then that threat- morally - should be eliminated. So either you agree with those statements, or you're full of shit when you call Trump a "threat to democracy".
Which is it?
We have repeatedly stated the way to defeat the republican threat to democracy is to vote out Republicans. That you interpret that as violence is, at best, projection but more likely just an excuse for your own bloodthirst.
No, you really haven't. We remember you soyboys claiming you're going to "punch nazis". We've seen the trannies become violent and shoot up schools after the constant lies about their lives being in danger. We've seen black people riot and now commit crimes without consequence after your side has claimed their lives are in danger from police.
You are lying.
No, we repeatedly have. Just because the far right fake news doesn't let you know about it doesn't mean it doesn't happen.
And every instance you refer to, save for punching nazis, was condemned by the left pretty much immediately. The punching nazis thing is more a wwII reference used as bait to see who will admit they want to rise to the defense of nazis.
lol, no it wasn't. Again, your lying doesn't work here.
It was. But right wing media censored that information to keep you packed with rage.
lmao. more BS.
Sadly, no. You are probably the angriest person I know of on GAG, actually.
You know I'm normalice, lol.
Gonna report that so your pocket mods don't ban me for responding in kind again.
No, just had nothing to respond with otherwise 🤷
