Historically women did not have the rights men did, but there were reasons for that which were not as sinister as feminists claim. Before the industrial revolution, and modernization of society, women could not participate in society the way they can now. There was a lag between when women could participate, and when they were actually allowed to, because attitudes change slowly. But they did change, and women now have more rights than men do. Yes, more. If you take a step back and consider reproductive, parental and marital rights objectively, it's impossible to believe otherwise.

But modern feminism has continued to paint a picture of women as oppressed victims and men as evil perpetrators and oppressors, which is a false and very harmful narrative. The behavior we've seen from feminism for the last two decades is what happens when a movement has achieved all it's realistic, achievable goals so it has to invent issues and keep women angry and continue to portray its "adversary" as evil in order to remain relevant. Feminism has become extremely toxic and divisive, and has resorted to tearing men and boys down instead of lifting women and girls up. THAT is what caused the gender war, and what makes that divide deeper and wider year by year.

The real answer to your question is that FEMINISM is to blame for the gender war, but all women are responsible because they continue to support and enable feminism, which is disgusting. Society in general, and men and boys in particular, deserve better from women.
