I'm from south Florida, so I know for a fact that Haitians believe in voodoo. They often sacrifice animals for various blood rituals. Cats are commonly used for black magic curses against people you do not like. The Hatians call it gris gris which is what is more commonly known as an evil eye. They believe cat sacrifices give them the ability to inflict harm on people by just looking at them. It's a satanic ritual offering to demons. Sometimes during those rituals they eat the cat, but not all the time. Sometimes they kill the cat and dismember it. Other times they drain the blood. But that is just the beginning. Obviously in the world of the occult, bigger sacrifices grant more power. So this often evolved into sacrificing people's children. So while your cat might be going missing today, those who seek assistance from voodoo practitioners may be kidnapping your children soon enough in a bid to acquire protection from demons as they seek power and control bring violence to your community. While the memes might be funny to some, in reality it's a lot worse than you think.

As is outlined in Leviticus 17 the life of every creature is its blood. In Judaism and Christianity followers are prohibited from making sacrifices and eating the blood to consume the power of the sacrifice. In contrast followers of voodoo believe that they must make the sacrifices and feed the blood to spirits in the afterlife, either to support their elders life force after they have passed or to call upon more powerful demons to do their bidding. So they might kill a cat and drain it's blood. Maybe they put it in a jar in a gris gris bag to feed a spirit that does their bidding. Maybe the eat the blood to feed a demon that has taken procession of them and keep dismembered parts of the cat in a gris gris bag to cut when they want to draw power from the creature. Maybe they consume the entire cat and it's blood to feed the demon. All these commies in here that call it a lie are lying propagandists. The religion of voodoo is well documented and known to exist throughout Africa in in the Americas (i. e. Caribbean). While some is considered white magic as in healing and good luck charms, obviously there is the evil black magic side of it which you often hear about in Haiti, Louisiana, etc. where former slaves attempted to use voodoo for evil purposes.
