It doesn't phase me, everyone has different convictions. Some of them we disagree on. I think the whole left wing, right wing thing is misleading. Generally that's a person that has more convictions one way than the other, or very strongly believes in one radical view point, like men being able to give birth, or complete abolishment of abortion.

As long as no one expects me to believe what they believe, I can go either way.

I have friends across the political spectrum. My views haven't changed in over 30 years, but how people describe someone who thinks what I do from "middle-left" to "far right" over the last ten years. It's all bollocks.

I've usually seen it the other way around. A lot of the conservative folks I've been around don't care and would gladly chat and befriend those of other political thought as long as there is some common ground. It's the liberals and leftists I've met who curse you, automatically berate you, don't want anything to do with you, and block you online.

That's probably because you are right leaning. I don't talk politics in person, for the most part, but I've had Trump supporters turn on me after mentioning I didn't support him, and Republicans regularly block people who disagree. If you ever use Reddit, it's pretty well known that r/conservative will block anyone, even actual conservatives, who don't blindly follow Trump.

I generally don't care at all about people political ideas when it comes to friendship. The only exception is that I don't like it when people turn everything political, or try to argue politics all the time.

I hate to refer to one particular ethnic group as obsolete farm equipment but Industrial automation will further offset the need for a large low skill labor force anyway. I studied Industrial automation 25 years ago and my only surprise is how long it has taken so far to get to this point. Kick them out. 3rd world rejects that haven't paid into the system and will subsist on benefits, outside of getting votes for democrats to enlarge the government, they only steal low level labor jobs that should've been the bottom steps of our own teenagers as well as all that $$$ that should've helped our own.

I'm not trying to be mean to them, in fact I don't love or hate them at all, I'm indifferent. But they're being retained or commandeered to be tax cows, and they don't even generate that much revenue. That and the dems see them as votes as well.

Society just needs to adapt to being the size it is. I would support hiring cheap labor, taxing them, but they're not welcome to stay. They don't get citizen status and benefits just because we employ them. I'm just spitballing an idea there.

We can't just keep growing in population though to meet behavioral sink. <--that experiment makes me think a lot about overpopulation. We're simply not picking rocket scientists with programs like that H1B program, we're getting people that need to be trained at best and then they fire everyone they had to pay 80k/year and keep them for 50k/year. We could've done the same with our own teenagers. ... and just like that, just like the California school systems, standards start to drop so that our growing failures are magically not failing anymore.
