Does your town have ton of parades?

I live in a small town and they probably have 15 parades a year and it totally blows my mind that they block off the two major roads going through town and I never know anything about this until I see the cop cars blocking the road, then I have to back track and take a detour on the backroads. Anyone else think this is ridiculous? All fine and dandy until someone has an emergency. I'm on all the social media groups for most of the surrounding cities and it's never announced. Or if it is they tell you like that morning when you aren't paying attention.

We have 2 big ones, but we also have a bunch of festivals which occasionally have a small parade.

Ours our held in the "tourist district", so they don't really impact day to day life. But now that I think of it, they could honestly just do it by the river, because it's a road that barely anybody uses. Though I guess having in downtown always adds a different vibe to things.

We have 3 or 4. 4th of July, Christmas , Halloween. We also have a Town Day parade in the summer with lots of other activities, food trucks, and a big bon fire at night.

There's the st David's parade and a couple of towns have others such as the fishguard last invasion parade santaclaus parades etc. But there's not tonnes of them.
