I think for $175,000 salary and expenses to travel they can make an appearance at work.

@RedInnocent69 There are so many things that need to be addressed by Congress. A tax bill, action limiting the action of district judges, and hiring additional ICA and Border Patrol agents. They should not be wasting time on getting more time off from work. If you cannot show up for work you should step down and let somebody else do the job.

That was the point of the extra judges - to process their claims and deport any that failed in weeks instead of months.

Trump failed to deport more people than Biden because, with a few notable exceptions, he had to follow the same laws with the same resources.

Now, the man he sent to El Salvador against a court order; the court has ordered the government to get him back, right now. You think that's unreasonable?

You're a US citizen and you can prove it, right? So you think you're safe. You're not if someone can simply say you're illegal and send you to a foreign prison without any chance to tell anyone.

That's what due process is all about.

@goaded No the judges were to process them, give them Social Security cards, set them up with welfare benefits and finally to sign them up to vote. Not one penny for deportations and no money to finish the wall.
Under the new administration they have deported over 100,000 illegal aliens and congress needs to approve additional funds to hire more ICE agents and build facilities to hold them while they are processes and deported.

I get refusing proxy voting for people who just want to be doing something else, but a new baby or critical care for cancer or similar shouldn't take away their contituents' voice in Congress.
