Prison is a money making scheme

There are a lot of criminals in America

We have a lot of mentally ill people in prison when they should be in a psychiatric facility or on special medication and treatment.

We have a lot of copy cat killers from school shooters to spouse murderers.

We have the ‘War On Drugs’, mandatory minimum sentences, anyone can take anyone to court over anything big or small which leads to stupid disputes that need a jury to decide the outcome, etc.

This Prison System Sucks because our Justice System Sucks! It isn’t to be fixed overnight, it will take years or decades since it took that long to make it f*cked up in the first place. Rich benefit while the poor go to jail.

@DryGermanGuy The USA has twice the recidivism as Europe id because the prisons are not brutal enough. In America it costs between 80 and 100K. There are two in a cell and they have vegetarian meals and taxpayer funded sex change operations. Spending time in a Russian Gulag would make them think twice about committing any more crimes.

@DryGermanGuy look at the prison trump rented for the illegal aliens that we have not found a permanent home for. 30 inmates to a room and a steel cot with no mattress. they don't even let the inmates stand up straight. These guys will not re-offend.

As these people are simply rounded up and deported for being undocumented immigrants chances are they never offended in the first place, because as you certainly know undocumented immigrants have an even lower crime rate than documented immigrants who already offend on a lower rate than born citizens.

@DryGermanGuy The local County Jail is located on a farm. The inmates actually grow and sell vegetables. The accommodations are about the same as a college dormitory. I knew a few of the guards there and they told me that there are a couple of guys that purposely get arrested so they can spand winters in a nice warm dorm room.
