yes, and largely true.

I went to church later in life by my choice, for my reasons, and I see the good and value in it. But you have to be careful with any social group... I heard the political bias, I saw kids hurt, I dealt with whacko people. Church people can be worse than non church. The solution to that is to talk openly with the family about your life and freedom to make decisions and choices. To have a strong will.

There is a lot of good in the values, I've met peopel with amazing hearts raised in church, but things can get warped and trying to live to a higher standard can be more difficult than without. there are a lot of people with good intent there at least recognizing they have issues to work on.

The real answer is being honest, finding the truth. That's all Jesus talked about. Sadly, we humans fail so easily.

I think Catholic is worse, but anyone can be bigoted. other religions cannot speak to.
