Do illegals have due process rights? Are people being deported without trial? Can they be deported without trial? Did Obama deport them without trial?

What I’m asking is, can the government simply say “oh don’t have documents to prove legal residency?” GTFO

Or is it a legal requirement that there has to be a trial in court if you want to get someone deported and stuff?

Reason I ask is cuz I hear leftists saying that Trump is breaking the law, but I’m honestly not 100% sure on what the law is regarding this myself tho.

Either way the 5th amendment only states that “no person shall be deprived of life, liberty or property, without due process of law”

Now I’m not sure how to legally interpret this.

The way I see it, depriving someone of “life” refers to the death penalty

Depriving someone of ”liberty” would mean throwing them in jail

And property is obviously pretty self explanatory.

That being said tho, I don’t personally see how deporting someone back to their home country of origin is in violation of any of the 3 things listed.

You’re not throwing them in prison, you’re not sentencing them to death, and you’re not taking anything away from them either, you’re simply sending them back to where they came from.

So when leftists say “ICE is rounding up and deporting people without due process”, don’t they have the legal right to do so?

I didn’t think illegal immigrants were owed due process since immigration status doesn’t seem to fall under that category

Do illegals have due process rights? Are people being deported without trial? Can they be deported without trial? Did Obama deport them without trial?
