AI will cover a lot of jobs up for us. Then the elites will see how few humans are needed to run the world and then pestilence and war to wipe our numbers down. Then, with their so-called immortality pills they will settle in to Utopia and look forward to a few hundred more years of having everything just right. All the while holding on to the obvious facts of the circumstances that by then technology and science will have advanced to the point that they will expect to live forever. I teach first grade that life/families/communities grow and change. At 6-7 years. old, we all understand this concept.
once I became an adult and making my own money and buying my own groceries, I knew prices change and salaries change…. usually both go up. Such that a can of coke was 5 cents etc…. now $2.00

So it’s not a surprise.

I learned at a young age to grown with the society. Yes, AI has been and will continue to replace a lot of jobs… at the same time it’s creating a lot of other jobs.

my parents also taught me to prepare for a rainy day… so I am not sure why people are not understanding this basic concept.

DOGE had found thousands of people who "worked" from home and for weeks did not even check their email. It begs the question "What do these people really do?" Getting rid of 260,000 is a good start.
