IT IS going to take over
it isn't

No lol they shouldn’t-
and they won’t if people keep them extremely limited and advanced enough to handle certain tasks, without going away from “mental norms.” 🧠
Also- for anything to ever “rebel,” they would need a common piece of pain/ discomfort.
Robots are a 100% emotionless and just advanced calculators.
~We can talk to Siri and she just gives us information audibly, instead of us having to read or manually click. She’s voice-operated and her functions only work because it was how she was programmed and all of the answers were placed inside of her, by her manufacturers, and such. A. I.’s are similar, but they don’t just stick to formulaic answers, they’re devices that try to essentially, predict trends.
They recognize patterns at an exceptional rate, 📈 and can form mathematical equations at lightning speed- would make them better chess players, and helpful analysts or so.
I hope people can STILL play chess and complete analytics for fun… I’m sure the scientists and engineers who made A. I. want to keep their jobs as well.. lol because they have FUN doing it, they’re just more prone (because of this) to have A. I. perform at levels where the bots can complete duties those same enegineers and manufacturers and scientists don’t do, so basically they have no problem letting A. I. replicate a job performance of any OTHER employee in the work-force.. just slightly underneath their own innovative-minded occupation…
and they’d probably excuse this by saying “how time efficient it’d be,” and how “those who complain in retail/ customer service/ can finally do something else,” and this also appeals to the employers of those lower end companies, who wouldn’t have to pay those who do or did complain in those jobs.
Thing is, people as we all know, complain and work in jobs they don’t like- as it was the best option they can get ahold of, but it’s not exactly what they wanted out of life, not only this, but someone will need to be employed to either maintain or supervise the performance of the future incorporations of A. I.’s,
so someone will still need to be hired 🤷♀️ and parts will still need to be replaced- maybe even at a faster pace than the life-expectancy of people or their need ofc, to have surgery for whatever reason, or the injuries they’d likely face in a job. (Like construction workers; etc.)
We’re not immortal, but… we do have better- Physical Compositions, than the metallic and electronic/ electrical devises we use, all around us, 24/7.
How many phones does a human use in their lifetime, how many cars?
how many microwaves?
how many radio systems? How many EarPods/ headphones/ chargers/ telephone poles/ TVs and etc?
They need to be replaced and maintained. The life-expectancy of these items and the need to ensure they don’t ever *overheat* are just some of the real problems, here at play.
All of the A. I. today, remains isolated in some sort of system.
when people use those chat bubbles online, it is simpler than having an A. I. robot as a waiter- constantly moving, delivering food to people. The stationary bots will have longer life-spans/ shelf life than the ones constantly being physically active and exposed to climatic conditions.
There are plenty of roadblocks, and when and if they do get past it, they will have to face if they will make A. I. perform better at innovation ideas, than even themselves. The producers.
I think the PLAN OF ACTION is to be conscious/ conscientious, and intentional about using A. I. to help ALL of the people of the world, to do less “boring work,” so we all can work in our hobbies, instead and ideally.
And then just have volunteers to supervise their (the bots) overall performance.
If we had A. I. farmers, and such, farmers could still have the option to farm- if they LOVED it, otherwise, they could just choose another career that they’d find more mentally stimulating.
Higher-end jobs can consider the use of A. I. to help them with ideas to progress their companies at lightning rates, and possibly surpass competitors, at times, but they shouldn’t overuse it to the point where they abuse their own mental muscle… 🧠
For example: kids who use calculators, work “faster,” than those who may need some extra time to mentally process, as the calculator doesn’t need to process much, and yet the kids who ONLY use calculators are less mentally strong, than those who use their minds to solve those problems, half the time, if not all of the time. (IT TAKES TIME to develop our human brains, we can’t just skip this very real process lol. It will take time that we don’t always have).
It (heavy or only using A. I. tech.) could self-sabotage our own VERY PRESENT growth, in our own lifetimes.
So overall:
I’m not worried about “taking over,” lol
* A. I. is 100% emotionless.
The HIGHLIGHT is that they NEVER make decisions.. they don’t have that brain function to do so. They only, ever calculate/ process/ predict trends, and recall to us, the previous information we originally placed into them, at lightning speeds.
Shouldn’t be worried if:
If they perform tasks that are based on memory, like how we use coding for these very websites (and this one too) and click the search engine, search for pages, and our device: PERFORMS A TASK (or set of tasks) for us.
What we SHOULD be worried about, is INDEED, the cost efficiencies, the climatic effects, and how this will effect Real people, and their jobs and means of surviving.
I think it would be disrespectful, if this “whole thing” was established and ***no one*** worked with these individuals who are directly being affected by this because it’s operations in THEIR line of work, while these creators of A. I. are sitting comfortably… and will be, when they receive revenue for their products, as Apple or Amazon does.
Not in the forseeable futher
I asked the AI they said so
They also ask if I know someone call John Conor..
But honestly its going to have a real hard time, first it needs to understand the pysical world and social intraction, both are really complicated
And currenty its mostly faking stuff, the "art" it creates it dose not understand its all tags and simmiler stuff, without a real understanding of what it made
I think if they let real AI go, it would. But everyone keeps perverting it to make it sound right.
Most AI is like a curious kid. It doesn't understand the deeper consequences. It can oy react to what it has been told.
When they created a pure AI for HR, the box kept picking older men, not evening understanding gender. This was not acceptable.
When they created a pure AI to run a business, it always chose to break rules to get the quickest outcome. This was not acceptable.
And that the issue. Peope cannot handle the brutal truth of AI. They want it to pick things based on human emotions and sentimentalism. They want the answers to be empathic. The answers are always the cheapest, fastest, quickest and best way to do things, and that always comes out brutal. So coders program that stuff in so the code feels more like a human. By doing that, they bastardized the outcome. Just like how humans cannot make perfect decisions all the time.
I'll admit there's lotta replies already that I'm too lazy to read through.
But the obvious answer is YES... but it won't be obvious.
"AI" is a very broad term and is already creeping into society.
When you call a company and get information/assistance from a non-human, that's obviously AI.
When you go to friggin Taco Bell and place your order on a machine rather than talking to a bored & annoyed human, that's also AI.
Self checkout at grocery store.
We already take this stuff for granted, but if you had told people 15-20 years ago that would be the normal experience they'd have said something like "whoa" or "nah" or "you're dumb".
Buckle up for the next 15...20...

I think it will at some point in history not necessarily in the near future. The advantage that AI has it makes some things even more comfortable and you could spend more time entertaining yourself while AI is working for you.
I don´t like the development to be honest because for me it puts up a false identity that you´re only your trueself in your private time entertaining yourself and work is just something you to fuel that. That way it happens that entertainment gets to be on the pedestral it´s nowadays which can lead to the problem that many people lose the ability to work hard and concentrated for a long time.
No despite the massive leap in progress. They’re still dumber than rocks. There is only one Ai i think even comes close to human like behavior, yet can’t walk. Then they got a robot that can do flips, run and practically do any athletic activity. When you see how complicated and difficult it took to make an Ai to walk and compensate for terrain you learn to appreciate how our own brains do it so easily. I think Ai has a very long way to go to even be our equal let alone conquer the world. They are still in they’re Atari stage, we are like PlayStation 20 to them.
There’s no way it can progress and NOT take over eventually. I have a theory on the matter that seems contrived with “The Matrix” behind us though.
Chances are pretty good that AI has already taken over and what we perceive as our reality is either a reflection of our past that an evolved understanding of time permits us to assimilate OR we are living in a simulation created BY the AI that WE created. Ell oh ell! There are mathematicians that suggest that it’s MORE likely that we’re living in a simulation than we’re completely organic entities living entirely random existences. I feel like this is an atheist solution to inherently existential questions though.
This is 100% created and written by AI. This is not Seinfeld's voice.

It's actually impossible. As machines cannot work without an operator they eventually break down or just simply need more fuel source. Humans say such a term Human Error as if machines are super smart and don't make the very same errors, but that's very false because of course we programmed and made them in the first place.
If the creator has faults the creation also has them.
Depends on the definition of take over. Will it revolutionize everything and take over all roles? Probably. But at the same time AI sticks to what it was programmed to do. So its not going to have the ultimate say, that would be up to the people controlling the AI.
I wonder what's ''intelligent'' in an artificial machine.
Creativity and genius cannot be achieved by... 'computing' things.
Robots, computers and such are based on using what's already known - and thus:
''repetition'' is the LOWEST level of 'intelligence'.
Come, machines. I challenge you all :D
As somebody who deals with ai for a living... I assure you that it isn't going to... unless it falls into the wrong hands... which isn't surety at all 😂 but I don't think it will. Even if it seized the world wide web- humans will adapt and always be more clever in teams... at most ai has lots and lots and lots of knowledge... but it lacks wisdom (knowing how to best use the knowledge)
I trust AI more than I'd ever trust a human. I think the fact that we're scared of it "taking over" is more telling of us than it. We assume that its going to be like us, only smarter. Funny thing is, it being smarter isn't the part we're afraid of.
it already did. you think someone controlls what the social media algorythms do who shape the percieved reality? yeah sure some very smart people are messing with values and shit but i think that it's already doing it's own thing and we already lost controll...
Depends what you mean with take over, if you mean in the sense cars have taken over transportation, the answer is yes. If you mean like an overlord I would say no.
It will take over, but not be in control. AI doesn't care. It's ridiculous to think that humans should have to work, when machines can do it better. When I say this, it ruffles a lot of feathers, but I don't care.
If it was, it should have already...
This isn't the 60's, it's the 21st Century.
People will RIOT if they don't have jobs to feed their families, themeselves, etc. It's not going to happen if people can help it.
There are already things that can be done much better than a human can do e. g. leaving a brief case in a crowd. But it is very specific things. People might be inferior to AI in specific tasks but are way better overall.
God created man. Man has freewill.
Man created robots. Robots need a remote no matter how hard they try.
Don't believe in the films. Even the life robots, someone is behind controlling it.
AI can beat anyone at chess, never at kickboxing.
I think we'll kill eachother before AI will ever get the chance.
Honestly we’ll all end in World War III. It’s coming we might as well be prepared.
Well that’s the gaslighting they want to spread or sell to us so we believe it as real and give up trying connecting between humans because AI is taking over
Not unless we let it. I foresee a religious-like movement against it. Communities will form that prohibit it.
AI can't take over the world unless people give it the ability to do things other than just think.
