Fascinated by the Trump supporters who choose to blame the companies instead of his policies at every turn. The other fall back is blaming Biden or Obama. Trump is the guy who promised to lower grocery prices and make it easier for Americans. Now the message is just keep suffering until it gets better.

The business John Deere is in is a complex one, and nothing economic occurs in a vacuum. To merely blame tariffs won’t stand up under scrutiny:

The company is also citing lower crop prices and higher costs for their agricultural customers. And let’s keep in mind that this company made $7 billion in profit last year. Maybe they could reduce dividends to their wealthy shareholders. How about it leftists?

Though it is not the reason why they are suffering, I think John Deere should suffer big time. They have been going along the trend of pissing on people's right to repair their own equipment much like tech and car manufacturers have been doing. I am not shedding a single tear for their loss.

@kavakava farmers are having issues with John Deere in regards to repairs and other stuff, John Deere has largely cornered thd market in agricultural equipment in the us but if there were cheaper alternatives coming in from china or Europe that could change

I learned today about the John Deere repair thing. But you can buy a Kubota tractor made in America that's Japanese. Zero tarrifs. Or get a Massey Ferguson or New Holland tractor. If it's made in the USA there will be no tariff. Trump is looking out for Americans.

I didn't know that. Fuck them. I've only driven one tractor in my life and it was a Ford. Two of my cousins own Kubotas. Even though Kubota is Japanese, they have American manufacturing plants. So John Deere isn't the only game in town.
