The fact that the trump administration is saying this pill is somehow responsible for autism alongside vaccines (something that has been repeatedly disproven since the claims were first made) suggests that they’re going to find some way to blame mothers for the faults of the world. Executing the mother to elevate the man, so to speak.

There is no such thing as a completely safe pain killer, for pregnant women or anyone else. Just because a health organization recommends the use of something, does NOT mean it's safe. The organizations that recommend Tylenol also recommend the minimum dose possible, for the least amount of time possible.

The FDA change is not a ban or anything like that. It's nothing more than a labeling change to exercise caution, which is prudent and very common for the FDA to do. There have been SOME studies linking Tylenol to serious side affects. When you see organizations refute that, they usually have disclaimers such as using minimal doses, etc. The labeling change more or less reflects that - a caution to not get carried away and just gulp it down.

Trump may have misunderstood what the FDA did and why, which is typical of him. But Trump is pretty irrelevant. Forget the messenger.

At one time Tylenol was considered very safe. Over the years that general consensus has changed. That consensus was changing long before Trump came into office. Some people get carried away with pain relievers, and that attitude needs to change. There are times when it's necessary, but some people should take it more seriously.

Yep and its ridiculous they are saying this. All pregnant women should be following their obgyn/Midwives recommendations for medicine. Not what the president says. He doesn't have a medical degree and probably doesn't know much about pregnancy in general so its not his space to even speak on this. If he's that worried he should be putting the top obgyns in the country up on stage to speak about it

I am pretty sure the “elevating man” and “execute the woman” idea never crossed anyone’s mind. When hearing about the Tylenol thing it certainly never entered my mind. I can see Tylenol being sued but women being execute and men being elevated I cannot imagine remotely occurring. Far too many men give a damn about women versus the numbers who dwell in their bedrooms online all day stirring the pot for this to remotely ever become a thing.
