It's an eating disorder not a weight disorder. Not to mention there are many problems with BMI, but that's an aside. This is admittedly a red haring.

Also, these aren’t given out to just anyone, in a vacuum. Mental health professionals, pediatric specialists, and the American Medical Association are all in agreement that gender affirming care (whatever form that takes) and taking steps to align one’s body with one’s mind, in terms of gender is helpful and supposedly beneficial— So since they’re the ones who should know, I’m going to go ahead and trust them.
