The Trump regime has scared republican representatives from making the normal governing dialogue from happening and gone home to their states and hide from constituents by not doing Town Hall meetings and refusing to go to work to resolve the shut down of US national employees (military and other services affected) whose funding has not been carried forward because the Project 25 3B legislation wasn't suitable to be passed without dialogue.
So US troops in EU countries are being encouraged to contact local foodbanks and charities that can support their plight with socialist funded support.

That's so unamerican. Will these troops when they return be booed and spat on like the Vietnam troops were in the 1970s?

The lack of food stamps is not Trump's doing, it's Democrats refusal to reopen the government and insisting on free healthcare for ILLEGAL immigrants. It's a congressional issue, not an executive branch one. Congress can reopen the government at any time, or they can do a carve-out for food stamps, or pass a continuing resolution, but they won't.

And why would the U. S. military need food banks in Germany? They're being paid as always, and overseas troops get food and housing. Nothing has changed there.

They think that keeping the government shut down is leverage to get the Republicans to fund all their wasteful projects. When people cannot get their food stamps because democrats want to give illegal aliens free healthcare nobody is happy.
